Meet Twin Peaks star Kyle MacLachlan's CEO wife and their son who is a creative

Kyle's wife is Desiree Gruber, whose first job was at EMI Records as an A&R assistant in 1989. In 1990, she became the New Music Seminar's general assistant.

A year later she became an assistant publicist at Rogers & Cowan. She worked her way up the corporate ladder by getting promoted to the role of director of entertainment and then eventually, the vice president of entertainment in 1997.

Two years later, she decided to take a leap of faith and launch her own production company called Full Picture. 

She has helped produce Project Runway and unscripted shows for NBC, CBS and FOX.

The couple met in a very unconventional way in 1999. Kyle recalled the special moment on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and said: "We actually met at a chiropractor's office, not many people know that."

He added: "I was so taken by how she looked, I figured it was worth rupturing another disk. So I got out of my traction chair, which wasn't that easy, and walked out and sort of said hello to her at the front desk."

Kyle continued: "And nothing really happened, but I ran into her the following night at a party, and then we dated for one day. And then, I invited her to the Vanity Fair party. I had one extra ticket, so that was our first date."

The couple tied the knot in 2002, and they welcomed Callum into the world in 2008. 

Kyle, who settled down at 43 expressed to The Guardian: "I think you should wait to get married if it takes that long to find the woman you want to be with. That's what happened with me. I'm a late bloomer. I like to come to things at my own tempo."

The duo are truly a power couple together. They produced a true crime podcast called Varnamtown. 

Last year, the pair also created a weekly series called What Are We Even Doing? In the show, Kyle takes the lead role in interviewing rising stars.

Callum is a high school junior, who recently acquired a driver's license. He has a plethora of artistic interests ranging from sewing to cinematography.

Kyle shared with People that his son recently created a music video that "stunned" him in a good way. He explained: "It was just remarkable.  I was like, 'This is very good.' You never know if you're gonna have to be nice, but I was like, 'No, genuinely, this is really effective and very powerful.'"

Besides being creative, Callum is also very athletic and plays volleyball, ping-pong and surfs.
