Primetime-nominated psychological thriller The Mentalist has found a new audience since its recent debut on Netflix. Starring The Devil Wears Prada's Simon Baker as a Sherlock-like sleuth who uses his observational skills, developed in his previous life as a "psychic" con-man, to hunt down Red John, the serial killer who attacked his family. But what have the stars been up to since Patrick Jane left a life of crime-hunting behind?
With two of The Mentalist stars reuniting in Prime Video's thriller Scarpetta we're checking in on the rest of the cast to see what they've been up to on-screen and off.

Robin Tunney
Robin Tunney might be most familiar as new-girl Sarah Bailey in cult-classic The Craft (1996) and Veronica Donovan in Prison Break. She starred in multiple episodes of Prison Break between 2005 to 2006 before meeting a unfortunate end. Two years later joined The Mentalist cast for a run of 151 episodes.
Since then, Robin has starred opposite Nicolas Cage in 2018's Looking Glass and has several upcoming projects in the works. She has been engaged to interior designer Nicky Marmet since 2013 and the couple have welcomed two children together.

Amanda Righetti
Amanda Righetti is hooking up with her former The Mentalist star Simon Baker on-screen in the hit drama Scarpetta. As well as a reunion with her co-star, Amanda has made an impression on-screen in The O.C. and Chicago Fire as well as 20 episodes of North Shore.
The actress was married to Jordan Alan between 2006 and 2017. During their marriage, the couple welcomed one child, Knox Addison Alan.

Tim Kang
Tim Kang is familiar for his role as the stoic Kimball Cho in The Mentalist as well as credits in Rambo (2008), Magnum P.I. (2018) and Two Weeks Notice (2002), starring Hugh Grant and Sandra Bullock.
Since his days on The Mentalist, Tim has appeared on Chicago Justice, Lethal Weapon and is reportedly filming upcoming drama Bash Town. He is married to fellow actor Gina May with whom he shares one child.

Owain Yeoman
The Wayne Rigsby actor stars in 132 episodes of The Mentalist and got his start on-screen in the Greek epic Troy (2004) as Lysander. After his role alongside Simon Baker as a CBI Detective, Owain appeared on 30 episodes of TURN: Washington's Spies and cosy drama Save the Cinema (2022).
The actor married jewellery designer Gigi Yallouz in 2013 on a private estate in Malibu and they welcomed their first child, Ever Belle, in 2015. He announced Ever's arrival on Instagram with a photo of her hand wrapped around his finger, captioned, "Daddy loves you my beautiful girl! Thanks for making me and Gigi the proudest parents alive. Your hands may be tiny but your hold on our hearts is enormous!"

Rockmond Dunbar
9-1-1 star Rockmond Dunbar debuted on The Mentalist in season 6, staying with the show until 2015. Prior to his role as FBI Special Agent Dennis Abbott, Rockmond joined the Sons of Anarchy cast between 2011 and 2013. Rockmond is arguably most known for his role as Benjamin Miles "C-Note" Franklin on hit TV show Prison Break. He's also appeared onscreen in Straw and Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang.
Rockmond met his now-wife Maya onset in 2012 and married the next year. They share 4 kids and live in Historic Brookhaven where they homeschool their children. The couple told Stroll: "It's the hardest yet most rewarding 'job', duty, blessing that has been bestowed upon us as parents."

Simon Baker
The Mentalist wouldn't be the show it was without Simon Baker at the helm and fans will celebrate to hear he's returning to the screen with co-star Amanda Righetti for acclaimed drama Scarpetta. The E Street star has also appeared in Margin Call (2011), The Devil Wears Prada (2006) and more recently in TV series The Narrow Road to the Deep North (2025).
He was previously married to Rebecca Rigg with whom he shares three children. The star appears to have found love again with designer Brigette Clark, who is 25 years his junior.
