Jerry Hall has revealed her plans for her 70th birthday and shared her joy at being a grandmother. Speaking exclusively to HELLO!, the model said she was "excited" about her milestone on 2 July and revealed that she plans to celebrate in style.
"I'm having a very big birthday party in the summer - I'm excited about that," she said. She also told us how she likes to spend time with her three grandchildren.
"I'm loving being a granny. It’s the best, I love it," she told us. "I've got three grandchildren and I'm teaching them how to garden - organic gardening - and, you know, helping me with the chickens and having fun. I'm having a good time, I'm very lucky."
HELLO! caught up with Jerry at last week's Invest in Futures: King’s Trust 50th Anniversary Gala. She and her former husband Sir Mick Jagger became ambassadors for the charity back in the 1970s, when it was known as The Prince’s Trust.
The then Prince of Wales used his severance pay from the Royal Navy to launch the charity, which has so far helped 1.3 million disadvantaged young people train for work and careers.
"I've got my kids involved, and I'm very proud to be involved and proud of the work that the King's Trust does," Jerry said.
Texan Jerry is mum to models Lizzy, 42, and Georgia May, 32, actor James, 40, and producer Gabriel, 28.
Two of Jerry’s grandchildren - Lizzy’s five-year-old son Eugene, and Georgia May’s toddler son Dean - starred alongside her and their mothers in a campaign for Burberry last year.
The glamorous grandmother is still in demand as a model and told us: "I'm still doing a bit of old lady modelling, amazingly enough."
