David Beckham is a proud dad to his youngest son, Cruz Beckham, after the 21-year-old surprised fans with big news. Cruz, who is following in his famous mum Victoria's footsteps as a musician, revealed he will be playing to a crowd of thousands at Chicago's popular Lollapalooza festival this summer - and his dad couldn't contain his excitement over the milestone gig.

Cruz and his band The Breakers will take to the festival stage later in the year alongside major acts like Grammy-winning singer Olivia Dean, Charli XCX, Canadian pop star Tate McRae, Lorde and American rock band The Smashing Pumpkins on an A-list lineup that has fans going wild. "Yes Cruzie [pink heart emoji]," David cheered on his son as he re-shared the lineup announcement to his Instagram Stories in a sweet show of fatherly support. The annual music festival will take place from 30 July to 2 August.

Cruz's blossoming music career

Cruz clearly got the music gene from his Spice Girls mum, and at just 21 years old, has already gone on the road. The singer is currently on his debut UK and European tour, which kicked off in Birmingham in February with stops across Cardiff, Manchester, Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin and more, before wrapping up with two final shows in London at the end of March.

Cruz announced the mini tour in January on social media and told fans, "It’ll be my dream to play you the music I’ve been working on".

"We r all so proud of u Cruz [red heart emoji]," Victoria publicly showed her support to Cruz in the comments.

Cruz's parents and siblings have cheered him on from the sidelines throughout his debut tour and the release of his new music. After playing his first show in Birmingham on 25 February, receiving largely positive reviews for the performance, Cruz's little sister Harper, 14, was among those singing his praises online with a rare public message.

Harper, whose Instagram account is set to private, left a message of support on her brother's Instagram post after the gig, writing: "Ur so cool". She once again made it clear she's a fan by commenting, "U guys r so cool," on pictures of Cruz and his bandmates posted to The Breakers' social media handle.

On a recent post from Cruz ahead of going back on the road for the European leg of his tour, Victoria gushed in the comments: "I’m so excited for the rest of the tour!!!!" [fire emojis]. His older brother Romeo, 23, has also publicly expressed support for Cruz's blossoming music career, commenting a heart eyes emoji on the tour announcement post.
