HBO Max viewers held their breath for the third and final season premiere of Euphoria as it hit screens on 12 April. But while the new season saw the dramatic return of Rue and the gang after a five-year time jump, fans noticed that the real-life cast never actually all reunited at the show's premiere, which took place in California on 7 April.
All eyes were on the highly anticipated red carpet event after reports emerged of tension between cast members Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney.

Why did the stars return to Euphoria?
After explaining that a third season is where actors get their "pay days", Marina said: "I also think that they probably think it's iconic and they probably do feel they owe it something. And either HBO or Sam Levinson himself has been very persuasive.
"I mean, you might want to do lots of other things on HBO. There's lots of reasons why you'd come back for season three."
Richard added: "Maybe they get on with each other and they have happy memories?" leading Marina to reply: "Maybe some of them do, some of them don't."

Just reading about the red carpet made me laugh so much because when you're reading in between the lines, and you know how it works, you're thinking, 'I can't actually believe what military position this must have been planned by all of their individual teams.'"
What happened at the Euphoria premiere?
Marina explained that the event was due to start at 7pm, with everyone seated by then, but Zendaya, who has been busy promoting The Drama and Dune: Part Three, didn't make an appearance until an hour later.
"I don't think Zendaya turned up 'til eight, which is the ultimate power movie, like everyone else was long in their seats," she said.
"There were two shots of some of them, but there's supposed to be a big, big beef between Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney. Who knows whether that's true, but they're certainly not in any pictures together.

And who will arrive and in what order? It made a sort of Paris Fashion Show where, eventually, Rhianna will turn up two hours later and the show can start."
While Zendaya was spotted greeting her co-star Hunter Schafer and director Sam Levinson, she was quickly ushered inside by her team before she could pose for photos or speak to the press. Meanwhile, Sydney Sweeney was seen posing with Hunter Schafer, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow and Sam Levinson.
