Jessica Wright was one proud auntie at the weekend, sharing a carousel of images of her life lately. Amidst playdates with her son and enjoying the seasonal change were some pictures of her lovely little niece, Palma, the daughter of her brother Mark Wright and his wife, Michelle Keegan.
In one picture, Palma, who celebrated her first birthday earlier this month with a lavish, pastel-pink-themed party, was seen sitting contentedly with her back to the camera, wearing the most beautiful tutu-style dress featuring layers of frothy pink tulle.
In another snapshot, Palma and her cousin, Jessica's son Presley, were seen riding in her pink electric car and cuddling each other in a ball pit. Adorable!
Palma's birthday party
Michelle and Mark enlisted the expertise of planners Luxe Events and Parties to bring their vision to life for Palma's special day.
The proud parents treated their guests to a spectacular afternoon featuring bespoke signature cocktails, live music, and plenty of children's entertainment, including a fabulous outdoor teepee, a bouncy castle and a luxurious soft-play area - complete with a ball pit personalised with Palma's name.
A beautiful welcome board greeted guests on arrival, reading: "Welcome to Palma's ONEderful 1st birthday," perfectly matching a stunning cake decorated with the words: "Isn't she lovely, isn't she ONEderful."
Guests also enjoyed a bespoke drinks menu featuring playful names including "P's Party Starter", "Bubbly First Birthday" and "Palma Tini".
Jessica's podcast controversy
Jessica, who also found fame on the hit reality show The Only Way is Essex alongside her brother Mark, has been forced to apologise after comments she, her mother Carol and younger sister Natalya made about women who opt to wear thong bikinis. It came after they were called out for the "degrading and disrespectful" comments describing the swimwear choice as "gross" on their Wright At Replica Luxury Handbag podcast.
In a recent episode, Jess, 40, said that her husband Will Kemp "hates" the look. She elaborated: "Will cannot stand it. He says to me, 'I cannot understand how she thinks that's attractive. Put it away and leave something to the imagination. Who wants to see up their butts?" Meanwhile, Carol, 65, said her husband Mark Sr finds them "unsexy".
However, the comments seemed to strike a nerve when a clip of the podcast, which launched in November, was shared online.
Responding to the criticism, Jess posted a public apology to Instagram, saying: "In response to comments we made on our podcast, we've listened, we hear you and we want to say sorry," she wrote in the statement. "Our judgment was wrong, and we take full accountability and will do better moving forward. Love Jess, Natalya and Carol."
