Melania Trump delivered a masterclass in modern elegance as she stepped out for the White House State Dinner with King Charles and Queen Camilla in a breathtaking head-to-toe Christian Dior Haute Couture ensemble, with the look estimated to be worth up to $80,000.

Making a striking entrance on Tuesday evening, the First Lady chose a pale delphinium pink silk strapless gown, crafted exclusively by Dior’s couture atelier. The sculptural silhouette, paired with its soft, romantic hue, created a look that was both timeless and unmistakably high fashion.

Elevating the ensemble further, Melania accessorised with off-white Dior suede gloves, a refined nod to classic evening glamour, and matching pale silk pumps, completing a meticulously coordinated look that showcased her long-standing affinity for European luxury design.

While couture prices are rarely disclosed, authentic Christian Dior Haute Couture gowns are widely understood to begin between $60,000 and $80,000 for eveningwear, with bespoke detailing, fittings and craftsmanship pushing individual pieces even higher depending on complexity.

The accessories alone added another layer of exclusivity. Custom-made gloves for couture looks can range from $1,500 to $3,000, while Dior’s current silk and embroidered pumps typically retail between $1,750 and $2,700, bringing the total value of the First Lady’s outfit into serious luxury territory.

Earlier on in the day the 56-year-old channeled Jackie O, donning a glorious double-breasted suit by Adam Lippes. The structured silhouette featured a double-breasted blazer and a sleek matching pencil skirt, which appeared both feminine and authoritative.

Styling to perfection, the mother-of-one added snakeskin Manolo Blahnik pumps, and her long hair cascaded beautifully over her shoulders.

In 2016, Melania made some rare comments about her style. "I don't find it to be challenging. I style myself and choose what to wear based on what I feel good in," she told ELLE. "My style has stayed pretty consistent over the years. I always wear what I like and what is appropriate for the occasion," she noted. Tonal dressing is at the forefront of her mind - "I tend to like colour," she added, before remarking, "I'm always focused on pieces that have superior cut."
