Emily Blunt was a vision in lilac as she stepped out for the UK premiere of her new film on Thursday evening, Disclosure Day, at Cineworld IMAX in London.
The actress, and mother of two, 43, utterly stole the show in a head to toe lilac gown - joined by famous relatives Felicity Blunt and brother-in-law Stanley Tucci at the star-studded evening.
The strapless piece was made up of a structured bodice, accenting the star’s décolletage perfectly, and draped down to the floor with a connecting pencil skirt. The lace corset was complimented by mesh heels and matching lilac accents, as seen in her makeup and nails.
The gowns glittering futurism was a nod to what is expected to be an Oscar winning performance from the leading lady in Spielberg’s new sci-fi epic.
Disclosure Day, out on June 12th, stars Emily as Margaret Fairchild, a Kansas City journalist turned meteorologist, at the centre of a massive unravelling government conspiracy.
The science fiction movie, not void of other big names, has the likes of Colin Firth, Josh O’Conner, and Eve Hewson starring alongside the London-born actress and singer.
One name notably not in attendance was Emily's husband of 10 years, John Krasinski, with whom she shares pre-teen daughters Hazel, 12, and Violet, 10.
The famous pair, when it comes to their family, endeavour to keep their two daughters out of the spotlight, but it seems they're already developing a fondness for life on the silver screen, Emily told WSJ. Magazine.
The star's famous husband told CBS Mornings, "Honestly, the simple answer is ‘kids and family first'. We always have done, luckily, a good job of doing one [movie] and then the next [one]. So one of us is always home with the kids."
One name who made quite the appearance was screenwriter, David Koepp, 62, who took a clumsy fall across Leicester Square’s rainy carpet. The American screenwriter quickly styled it out though, brushing off the blunder with laughter, and waving to cameras as he was helped up by Emily and Bono's daughter, Eve, who jumped in at the rescue.
The actress also spoke about teaching her daughters to treat people with this same kindness, sharing with HELLO! in 2025 that "when people are embarrassed, they are really unhappy, you know, and they don't make good choices, and so I think that's just been a big part of their upbringing, is kindness."
The evening was a dazzling success, and the leading lady was a perfect vision among some of Hollywood’s biggest names. Early social media reactions suggest Emily could be in line for Best Supporting Actress Category given her role in the film. With major buzz in the acting department all pointing to the star, as many call her performance an all-time high.
