Queen Camilla is one of the most quietly elegant dressers in the British royal family, perfectly embodying a traditional, old-school English luxury that epitomises classical royal style in the best way possible.

Recently, she's been channelling some of cinema's most iconic fashion moments: she had a 'My Fair Lady' monochrome moment earlier this week and now she's channelling 90s' icon Wednesday Addams. For her reception for the final of the BBC's creative writing competition, 500 Words at Windsor Castle, on 25 February, she looked incredibly glamorous in her monochrome dress.

As identified by royal style blogger @royalbritishfashion on Instagram, she was wearing a black polka dot midi dress from ME+EM, a favourite of the royals, including the Duchess of Edinburgh.

The dress is a gorgeous piece, made from what the brand describes as a "fluid and matte modern crepe with cream trimming," and it features an adjustable neckline and voluminous sleeves, perfectly blending a modern fit with a timeless style. Best of all, it's currently half price from the brand, at just £147.50, so it really is a bargain for such a chic look.

Rounding it all off, she donned her dressage knee-high boots in beautiful black suede from Russell & Bromley, which have become one of her go-to pairs!

Queen Camilla's recent knee-high boot moment

The Queen Consort loves a pair of knee-high boots, and this isn't even the first time this week that she's rocked them so gloriously! When she appeared at Jamie's Farm Charity Race Day at Plumpton Racecourse on 23 February, she wore a green coat from her go-to designer, Anna Valentine, and yet another pair of suede knee-high boots, this time from John Lewis!

For that true high-low blend, she brought out a small tote bag from Dior, known as the 'Dior Toujours Vertical' tote, a relatively new addition to the Dior line-up, but nevertheless a notable continuation of the British royal family's long-standing partnership with the luxury French house.

Leanne Jones, a personal stylist, spoke exclusively to HELLO! about the look, giving us her take on why it's notable for Queen Camilla to be wearing Dior, highlighting how it "reinforces" the family's, and her own, partnership with the brand.

"Christian Dior famously dressed Princess Margaret for her 21st birthday, designed the iconic 'Lady Dior' handbag since named in honour of Princess Diana, and has long been associated with royal patronage more broadly," the style expert began. "He is known to have had a deep affection for what he called the 'English way of life', and the admiration has clearly been mutual over the decades."

Leanne also explained that "this isn’t the first time we’ve seen Queen Camilla turn to Dior, and it certainly won’t be the last," as she has quite the collection of bags from the brand.  "Alongside the Toujours Tote, she has also carried the 'Lady Dior' in the past - a bag that also carries the iconic Dior macrocannage pattern – proof that her relationship with the house is both considered and enduring," the stylist added.
