The Princess of Wales has a huge collection of dress coats in a kaleidoscope of colours. They normally are designed in the same format - midi length, double-breasted, with a tailored finish.
Occasionally, the wife of Prince William deviates from this formula, and back in 2013, the brunette royal delighted onlookers with her shortest dress coat choice to date.
Kate was pregnant with Prince George when she wore the stunning design
Pregnant with her first child, Prince George, Kate stole the show in a spectacular springtime staple, in the form of a short, mint green coat by Mulberry.

The 'Frayed Coat' was made in a sumptuous cotton tweed material, and the statement buttons featured floral-inspired postman's lock detailing.
The design was crafted with deep pockets, frayed edging, and had a soft, round collar. It finished a few inches above the knee, marking its place as one of the shortest hems the royal has been seen out in. Kate bravely opted to go bare-legged, perhaps with skin-coloured tights for the occasion, wearing her much-loved L.K. Bennett heels and a mocha-toned headpiece.
Quintessentially British brand Mulberry is known for its high-quality, timeless leather pieces, and some of the brand's most famous bags are named after places in London, like the 'Bayswater' and the 'Pimlico'. Some items are also named after celebrities, from the 'Alexa' inspired by Alexa Chung, and the 'Del Rey', after superstar singer Lana Del Rey.
Kate has many Mulberry bags, from the 'Lily' cross-body to the 'Amberley' bag and a variety of purses, too.
The royal wore this dazzling Mulberry coat in 2018
In 2019, Kate donned yet another Mulberry coat. On a visit to Northern Ireland with husband Prince William, the royal couple visited charity Cinemagic to see how they use film, television, and digital technologies as a means to educate, motivate, and inspire young people.
Kate decided to wear a wonderful coat rendered in a striking baby blue. It featured a charming cape and was finished with a chic belted waist. Taken from Mulberry's Fall 2018 runway show in Seoul, the single-breasted style had big buttons and a distinctive, Mary Poppins-inspired silhouette.
