Queen Letizia looked as resplendent as ever at the weekend as she welcomed Pope Leo XIV to Spain. The royal was pictured alongside her husband, King Felipe VI, and their daughters, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia, to officially welcome the Pope to the Royal Palace in Madrid.

During a Holy Mass led by Pope Leo XIV in the Plaza de Cibeles in Madrid, Letizia chose to wear a breathtaking white dress by Self-Portrait. The royal invoked her rare royal privilege called "privilège du blanc" - she is one of the few women allowed to wear white to meet the Pope, as she is Queen of a Catholic country.

Known as the 'White Tailored Taffeta Midi Dress', Letizia's dress costs £450, and the Princess of Wales wore a similar style at Wimbledon in 2025, only hers had a more butter-yellow tone.

Kate's latest Self-Portrait moments

Kate has worn the brand many times over the years, but her most recent was last month. The royal joined her husband, Prince William, to host the first Buckingham Palace garden party of 2026 on behalf of King Charles.

The royal couple looked resplendent in their finest attire as they led the festivities alongside the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and their royal cousin, Zara Tindall.

Mother-of-three Kate appeared in great spirits while chatting to attendees, wearing her stunning new outfit. The brunette royal wore a white blazer dress from Self-Portrait, which was crafted with a gentle peplum. The double-breasted number was finished with three-quarter-length sleeves and a Carrie Bradshaw-style corsage.

It looked wonderful teamed with the lightly pleated midi skirt, adorned with polka dots, which was expertly attached.

A month before, on Easter Sunday, the mother-of-three wowed the waiting crowds as she headed to St. George's Chapel alongside William, and their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, for the Easter Matins service.

Kate's vanilla-toned Self-Portrait dress was designed with a long-sleeved bodice that joined to a sumptuous midi skirt. It was crafted with a belt and two pockets, etched with an embroidered design.

The UK-based brand boasts an A-list clientele, including Beyoncé, Reese Witherspoon, Kristen Stewart, and Miranda Kerr. It was founded in 2013 by Malaysian-born designer Han Chong, and its headquarters are based in London.

Princess Kate's love affair with Self-Portrait's blazer dresses dates back to 2016.

She first wore the brand to the premiere of A Street Cat Named Bob in London, and has not looked back since.
