It's good news for fans of Sean Bean as the actor's hit historical drama, Robin Hood, has been renewed for a second series. So if you haven't already binge-watched all ten episodes of the first season, then now is the time!
The series is an epic reimagining of Robin Hood, the roguish outlaw hero who stole from the rich and gave to the poor. It follows Rob, a Saxon forester's son, and Marian, the daughter of a Norman lord, as they fall in love and fight for justice following the Norman invasion of England.
While this thrilling series has all the high-stakes drama and bow-and-arrow firing you might expect from a Robin Hood retelling, the heart of the drama lies in the romance between Rob and Marian.

What to expect from season two
[Warning, spoilers for season one ahead!]
Season one's explosive finale perfectly set up a second season. While both the Earl of Huntington and Guy of Gisborne met their deaths, the Sheriff of Nottingham survives and Queen Eleanor makes a mysterious offer to Eleanor ahead of the arrival of King Henry II, who will no doubt be out for revenge.
In the second season, the world of Robin Hood is expanded beyond Sherwood and Nottingham into the treacherous courts of England, France and Rome, transforming the outlaw rebellion into a high stakes battle for the soul of a kingdom.
The synopsis continues: "As the Angevin empire threatens to tear itself apart, Rob and Marian are drawn into the orbit of kings and queens, forced to wield the very instruments of Norman power -- politics, gold, and betrayal -- to secure a future for the Saxons.
"What begins as a fight for survival becomes a reckoning with power itself. Sweeping in scope yet intimate in emotion, Season two deepens the romance, sharpens the rivalries, and reimagines the legend as a prestige drama about love, legacy, and the price of becoming history."
Who will star in season 2?
We'd expect to see Jack Patten reprise his starring role as Rob, alongside Lauren McQueen as Marian, Sean Bean as the Sheriff of Nottingham, Lydia Peckham as Priscilla of Nottingham and Connie Nielsen as Queen Eleanor of Aquitaine.
Further casting will be announced in due course.
Speaking about the on-screen chemistry between Rob and Marian during an exclusive interview with Best Quality Designer Handbag last year, actress Lauren said: "As soon as we met, we just got on so well. It was a relief for me that Jack was such a genuine, kind person, and also was just great to work with in the room at the chemistry read."
The 29-year-old actress explained that she and Jack spent two months apart whilst they filmed separate scenes, but despite this, the "spark" came naturally when they eventually began shooting together. "There wasn't really much rehearsal time to kind of get that bond going, either," she said, adding: "But we got on so well off-set."
What have viewers said about the show?
Viewers hailed season one as a "gritty" and "entertaining" series that is "well worth the watch".
One person wrote in an online review: "This new Robin Hood series is refreshing and makes for gripping drama. It's a brilliant show and is by far the best adaptation (including films) of the legend since Robin of Sherwood 40 years ago!"
A second viewer penned: "This show feels fresh and engaging. It's dark, gritty, and full of heart-it has love, loss, and plenty of action," while another hailed Sean's portrayal of the Sheriff as "excellent".
Meanwhile, the show boasts a respectful Rotten Tomatoes rating of 75 per cent.
