Kristen Bell returned as host of the SAG Awards on Sunday night and, just like last year, chose to open the awards with a musical number. This time, the host played on the award show's new name and poked fun at A-listers in the crowd by suggesting new stage names for them.
"A stage name should be something fun — a name to ensure you're the only one," she said, before suggesting Jacob Elordi become Jacordi O'Lordy. She also suggested Teddy Dandaughter for Ted Danson, TeyTay for Teyana Taylor and Indoctrinate Me instead of Noah Wyle.
Kristen also introduced a table tennis tournament, explaining that different actors would go head-to-head backstage throughout the night. "This is about actors supporting actors, and I am here to change that," she said. "Because this year, I am escalating the competition, starting with a table tennis tournament."
Actors Ted Danson and Kristen's Nobody Wants This star Jackie Tohn were the first competitors to play a match.
