A suspenseful new thriller, The Good Daughter, is coming to our screens this year thanks to Sky, and it's definitely going on my watchlist.
Based on the bestselling novel by Karin Slaughter (Pieces of Her, Will Trent), who writes and executive produces the series, it follows two estranged sisters, played by Meghann Fahy and Rose Byrne, trying to piece their lives back together after a traumatic event.
HELLO! saw a preview of the thriller at Sky's UP NEXT Showcase in London this week, which unveiled the broadcaster's epic line-up of new shows for 2026.
The short clip introduced Meghan's character Charlie, who has been estranged from her sister for the last twenty years and is trying to rebuild her life. When a tragic event takes place in their hometown, the sisters are reunited.
It's safe to say viewers are in for a compelling, fast-paced thriller that will no doubt keep you glued to your screens.

What is The Good Daughter about?
Billed as a "suspenseful thriller wrapped in a deeply emotional story about love, family, and resilience," the limited series centres around two sisters, Charlotte (Meghann Fahy) and Samantha (Rose Byrne) Quinn, who have spent the last twenty years trying to piece together the lives that were fractured by a single night of violence.
The synopsis continues: "When another attack splinters the small town of Pikeville, Charlotte, now a lawyer like her father, is the first witness on the scene.
"As the case unfolds and twists through painful memories and buried secrets, what emerges is not just a story of survival, but of enduring ties between a father and his daughters – and the complex bond between sisters."
An impressive cast of stars join Meghann and Rose in the show, including Brendan Gleeson, Harper Steele, Olivia Williams, Drew Ann Cheek, Audrey Grace Marshall and Michael Dorman.
What did leading star Meghann Fahy say about the show?
At Sky's UP NEXT event, Meghann described the thriller as "unflinching".
"It unapologetically looks at trauma, the way we deal with it and how to overcome it," said The White Lotus star. "It's ultimately a story about family. Rose Byrne and I play sisters. We've been estranged for 20 years when the story begins.
"As a result of a tragic event that happens in our small hometown in Georgia, she comes home and that's how things kick off," Meghann continued.
Sharing new details about her character, Meghann said: "We first meet my character Charlie, super hungover waking up on a couch.
"That's one of the things I love about the character; she's so undone and so all over the place. She's really, really motivated by the things she believes in," added the actress.
When will the series be released?
Sky has yet to reveal an official release date for The Good Daughter. However, we do know that the series will arrive on TV screens this year.
