What is The Devil's Hour about?
The story follows a woman named Lucy (Jessica Raine, Call the Midwife), a social worker who is woken up to terrifying visions every night at 3:33 am in the so-called 'devil's hour' between 3 and 4 am.
Alongside her hellish night terrors, Lucy is also dealing with the breakdown of her marriage, a mother who has dementia and speaks to empty chairs and her emotionless and withdrawn son, Isaac.
The synopsis continues: "Her house is haunted by the echoes of a life that isn't her own."
"When Lucy's name is inexplicably connected to a string of brutal murders in the area, the answers that have evaded her all these years will finally come into focus. Peter Capaldi (Doctor Who) plays a reclusive nomad, driven by a murderous obsession. He becomes the prime target of a police manhunt led by compassionate detective Ravi Dhillon, played by Nikesh Patel (Starstruck)."
The thriller, which is executive produced by Sue Vertue (Sherlock, Coupling) and Steven Moffat (Inside Man, Doctor Who), returned in 2024 with a second season and has been renewed for a third.
