The 1980s action-adventure series, Knight Rider, introduced David Hasselhoff's Michael Knight to audiences across the globe, to critical acclaim. 

Starring the Baywatch actor, the series followed the lone crime-fighter as he battled forces of evil with KITT, an artificially intelligent self-driving 1982 Pontiac Trans Am. 

It was a roaring success on television in the decade of decadence and catapulted its cast to stardom, resulting in stellar careers for the likes of Patricia McPherson, Rebecca Holden and Peter Parros. 

Since its release in 1982, the series lasted for a total of four seasons and ahead of its 50th anniversary, we're taking a look at where the cast are now…

Now 73, David Hasselhoff currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife, 45-year-old Welsh model Hayley Roberts.

He is recovering from recent knee and hip replacement surgeries and has been spotted using a walking frame and cane during outings, while he slowly returns to the gym amid his upcoming project, Kung Fury 2.

The Baywatch star continued to act after fronting the action-packed series and made a name for himself on the beach show, also starring Pamela Anderson. 

He went on to feature in a long list of films, including the likes of The Young and the Restless, Nick Fury: Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., and The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie.

In 2018, on 31 June, he married Hayley in a small ceremony in Puglia, Italy, after meeting her in 2011. He previously welcomed his children, Taylor-Ann Hasselhoff and Hayley Amber Hasselhoff, with his ex-wife Pamela Bach.

Patricia McPherson - Bonnie Barstow

Starring as Bonnie Barstow on the show, Patricia McPherson retired from acting in 1991 to focus on her environmental activism. 

At 71 years old, the former star lives in Los Angeles, where she has spent the last three decades working to preserve the Ballona Wetlands in Southern California. 

Before her retirement, she starred in Star Trek: The Next Generation, Murder, She Wrote, Matlock, Dynasty, Starman and Prime Risk

She has been married to her husband, James Garrett, for decades.

Rebecca Holden - April Curtis

Best known for playing April Curtis in Knight Rider, Rebecca Holden still works in the entertainment industry, while also adding charity work and public appearances to her roster of engagements. 

Since finding fame, she has opted to mostly work on independent films, such as Was Once a Hero in 2023, and has worked as a singer, developing a duets CD called 'Dreams Come True'.

Rebecca has been married twice, first to Bobby Vassallo in 1980. They divorced in 1986, and the star went on to tie the knot with Joel Diamond on 7 January 2015. The couple went their separate ways on 5 December 2023.

After starring in the 80s hit, Peter Parros remained active in the entertainment industry, and recently worked on the film Who Are You People and the BET+ series The Final Say

He became synonymous with his long-running role as David Harrington on The Haves and the Have Nots, and also regularly works in the theatre, complementing his work as co-chair of the International Black Theatre Festival.

Peter is married to his wife, Jerri Morgan, and the couple welcomed two children: a son, Clayton, and a daughter Petra.

Edward Mulhare - Devon Miles

After Knight Rider ended in 1986, Edward Mulhare pursued a career in acting, primarily hosting the paranormal series Secrets & Mysteries and making guest appearances on shows like Murder, She Wrote and MacGyver

Later, in 1996, the Irish actor reunited with David Hasselhoff on Baywatch Nights and appeared in the film Out to Sea. He died from lung cancer on 24 May 1997, at age 74, during the filming of his final projects. 

He never married and had no children, often referred to as a lifelong bachelor.
