Ashley James on the red carpet

Speaking to Best Quality Designer Handbag 's Lucy Norris exclusively on the red carpet, This Morning's Ashley James reflected on navigating diet culture and the pressures around Ozempic.

"I think the advice is to know that you don't need to shrink yourself. It doesn't make you more lovable or more confident. Your worth isn't defined by your body," she said.

Meet tonight's host: Greg Davies

Tonight's hosting duties are in the safe hands of comedian and actor Greg Davies, who's best known for hosting Taskmaster and featuring on Channel 4's The Inbetweeners

The presenter is following in the footsteps of Graham Norton, Lenny Henry and Michael Parkinson and revealed that the gig was too good to pass up. Speaking to The Times, Greg said: "It's one of those things you can't say no to.

"I used to watch Stephen Fry at the (film) Baftas and marvel at his cool, intellectual charm. I won’t be bringing that."

Back in February, the film BAFTAs were hosted by Alan Cumming, who navigated an incident when Tourette's campaigner John Davidson was heard shouting a racial slur at Michael B Jordan and Delroy Lindo as they were presenting.

When asked about the incident, Greg said: "I don't know what happened there but I'm sure they've got it in hand so that everybody has a nice time.

"I don't anticipate there’ll be any surprises but if there are, we'll be fine, we'll roll with it."

"Joanne's going to nail The Traitors, she's going to love it," said Vogue. "I haven't heard from her, which is always a good sign. I got a message through to send more fake tan!"

Katie Piper talks body confidence with Best Quality Designer Handbag

HELLO!'s Lucy Norris also caught up with Loose Women star Katie Piper, who spoke about the importance of feeling confident in yourself.

"Comparison is the fastest way to disconnect with yourself, and it's really important that you don't look around and try to be like somebody else," she said.

"I've always thought that the ultimate body positivity is actually feeling neutral about your appearance…the neutrality of it doesn't define you."

She added: "I always say about myself, 'I'm not beautiful like her, I'm beautiful like me."

Alan Cumming never wants to host the BAFTAs again

Scottish actor Alan Cumming is best known for presenting the US Traitors and took on hosting duties for the 2026 Film BAFTAs back in February.

The ceremony came under quite a bit of controversy, after the BBC failed to remove a racial slur that could be heard from Tourette's campaigner John Davidson from the broadcast.

Alan hosted the EE BAFTA Film Awards 2026

Reflecting on the event, which he called an "international scandal", Alan told The Sunday Times: "It was bad, bad, bad, bad leadership. Bad people who weren't doing their jobs properly, who really had not prepared and let people down."

While he was warned that John, who has Tourette's syndrome, was in the audience, Alan didn't realise it would be anything other than "noise".

After John's tick was heard by the audience, Alan issued an apology during the broadcast but didn't know what he was apologising for.

"I watched myself back. I was very smiley, I didn't do it with the gravitas and tone I would have used had I known. That [explicit] me off."

On whether he would return as host, Alan called it a "tough gig" and said: "Right before it started, I said to my agent, 'Remind me, I never want to do this again.'"

And we're off!

Greg Davies has kicked off the ceremony with a funny sketch reflecting on some of the most jaw-dropping moments in TV history.

In his monologue, the host joked he is "not personally nominated", and pointed out Romesh Ranganathan is nominated in twice in a category he is eligible for.

"Will I be punching the air if he loses? We will see. But this is not about the personal grievances that gnaw away at my soul…"

BAFTA Fellowship

Beloved chef Mary Berry is the recipient of this year's BAFTA fellowship award, which was presented by Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins.

Mary won the highest BAFTA accolade

The 91-year-old TV cook and former Great British Bake Off judge praised the BBC as her “home of many years” and joked that Mel and Sue had “led me astray from day one”.

“I’m really bowled over by this accolade. I’m a cook, I’m a teacher, so I feel very honoured to be given Bafta’s highest award," she said.

“It seems no time ago when I left Bath High School with two O-levels in needlework and cookery.

“Ms Date, my domestic science teacher – who was just knee-high to a grasshopper and had such a lovely smile – she set me on my way. I kept in touch with her till her last days in her care home in Bath.

“Television wasn’t part of my childhood. We had our first black-and-white TV when I was 10. One channel: the BBC of course, and it’s been my home for so many of my TV adventures over the years.

“It is the broadcaster that we must cherish.”

Reflecting on her 50+ year career, Mary said: “My first programme was on Collector’s World, filmed in Bristol at the Georgia House in 1971.”

“I cooked a cow’s udder pie, and you don’t forget that one."

She continued: “Things have changed. When I started, it was just me, no home economist, no backup, and I loved every single moment and put my heart and soul into it. The BBC took me under their wing.

“Bake Off came along and my whole world changed. I knew my baking inside out but I had to start thinking of what I was going to wear. It was all about the jackets, mainly because I could tuck a hot water bottle underneath because the tent was so chilly in the morning, first thing.

“I see myself as a teacher and television is the best and the biggest classroom that there is. It’s a great place to share what I love best. I’ve had such fun.”

“Essential qualities in life are kindness, patience and respect, which I have received all along the way. I’ve been doing this for over 50 years, and I’m still learning.

“So what’s next for me, at the age of 91? I have just started my own YouTube channel. We shall see.”

Congratulations, Mary! 🙌
