Princess Charlene of Monaco's hair just keeps growing, but her latest style is certainly a new look for 2026. Prince Albert, 68, and his wife, 48, made an appearance at the Monaco Sevens Tournament at the Prince Héréditaire Jacques Stadium in Beausoleil, and Princess Charlene had transformed her once-cropped locks into the best curly bob.
Her silky blonde hair had been tonged into elegant waves and parted down the side to frame her face beautifully. The royal started growing out her famously short hair in 2025, and it has now reached the longest it has been since 2019, when she last rocked a stylish bob.
For an expert insight into Charlene's new 'do, we enlisted the help of Suzie McGill, an award-winning hairstylist who has over 30 years of experience in the hair industry.
"Princess Charlene’s wavy bob looked fantastic, it's relaxed, stylish, and very flattering! Shoulder-length styles like these are a great choice for over-40s, as they give the illusion of thicker, healthier hair," she explains.
"Furthermore, these styles are low-maintenance, fun, and extremely versatile for a variety of different occasions. Waves are great for disguising any thinning hair, making it appear thicker."
To achieve these soft waves and create a modern, lived-in look, Suzie recommends using a lightweight mousse to give both hold and volume and her top tip to avoid the curls merging is to alternate the curls, as this will create lots of natural volume and a blended wave pattern.
Quiet luxury
Charlene's chic hairdo complemented her outfit perfectly. As identified by Royal Fashion Police on Instagram, the royal donned the 'Fresia' suede overshirt by Max Mara in an understated camel hue. She added a white tee and jeans, but levelled up her look with her £890 'Bouncing Sneakers' by Hermès.
Switching up her 'do
With her longer hair, Charlene is also now able to rock an updo. She did just that earlier this month while attending the Men's Final on day eight of the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters.
Her tresses were swept up into a low balletic bun with volume at the root for added glamour, and a strand was pulled out at the front and curled into one pristine wave to complement her striking bone structure.
