The chaos of summer social calendars is almost upon us, with sunsoaked events filling our schedules every weekend. Here in the H! Fashion office, we’ve never been cordially busier; days at the races, holidays, weddings and festivals are all on the agenda. And as a packed slate demands more from our social batteries, it also does from our beauty routines.

It's time for us to re-welcome our makeup, skincare, haircare and fragrance favourites for summer that complement the busy, balmy days ahead. The good news for you is that we’re not gatekeeping these must-haves. We’ve each revealed our three beauty essentials for upcoming event season, and the specific events we’re calling on them for. Tried and true, here’s the 18 products our team can’t live without during summer, all available to shop through Beauty at Next...

For bridesmaid duties

Olivia Lower, Digital Growth Manager

This summer I’m saying goodbye to my bridal era and hello to my bridesmaid era. I'm prepped with all the beauty and wellness must-haves for days spent under the sun celebrating love. My go-to on a busy morning? Ultimate hydration. I’ll be relying on my ride-or-die from ELEMIS, starting with the Pro Collagen Cleansing Balm. I’m head over heels with the new Black Cherry scent, this balm sets the stage for a full day of makeup providing a clean base with ultimate hydration.

And what’s a big day without a memorable scent? This summer, I'll always have my Tom Ford Soleil Blanc in every bag to add the perfect seasonal scented spritz. I'll also be on hand for all the bridal party glow prep with my trusty Tan-Luxe The Body Illuminating Self Tan Drops.

For beach holidays

I’ll be the first to admit I am far from a dermatologist's dream patient in summer, mainly due to forgetfulness and laziness. If you, too, fall a little short on the SPF game, then Caudalie’s Invisible High Protection Spray is the easiest way to ensure your skin is protected on beach holidays. It’s going to be the first thing in my toiletry bag when packing. It'll be followed by the ELEMIS ProCollagen Toning Mist, which is quite literally a refreshing sea breeze in a bottle... how on theme.

And when you’re on holiday, there’s nothing worse than your new tan which you worked so hard on (yes, sitting on a beach with a book in one hand and a frozen marg in the other is classed as hard work) begins to fade. One way I like to prolong my sun-kissed glow is with a heavy helping of ultra rich body cream. The best around? L'Occitane's Shea Ultra Rich Body Cream. Happy skin is hydrated skin.

For a day at the races

I’ve got my hat at the ready for a day at the races this summer, and I also have my beauty arsenal. My current perfume obsession is the classic Yves Saint Laurent Libre. I already own a 50ml bottle, but I’ll also be purchasing the 30ml size to slot into my clutch bag to top my scent up throughout my day at the races. It is a bold floral fragrance that blends Moroccan orange blossom with French lavender to create a traditionally masculine aromatic profile with a hint of sweetness.

By way of makeup, I’ll also be bringing my all-time favourite Laura Mercier Ultra-Blur Loose Setting Powder to the racecourse. It’s the best powder for keeping oiliness at bay – something my skin always suffers from in summer. Plus, I’ll have the Clarins Waterproof Eye Liner Pencil in 'black tulip' on-hand to top up my waterline throughout the day. It’ll be particularly handy if I shed a few tears over not winning any bets.

For wedding guests

A true all-time favourite, Prada Paradoxe Eau de Parfum, is the perfect spring spritz! Light enough for the day yet elegant enough to carry into the evening, the 30ml bottle is ideal for slipping into a small bag, making it a perfect companion for a wedding I’m attending this summer. Plus, the L'Occitane Amande (Almond) Shower Oil is the ultimate ‘everything shower’ essential. It’s the perfect prep product ahead of attending a wedding, and is a must-have for getting your skin ready to glow for a full day of celebrating love.

The evening before a summer wedding, I like to focus on resetting and recharging. After my aforementioned ‘everything shower’, I like to take a moment to unwind – and nothing feels more indulgent than lighting the Neom Perfect Night's Sleep Candle. It creates a calming atmosphere that helps me relax, recharge and prepare for the big day ahead.

For summer in the city

My diary is already jam-packed for the summer, but whatever the occasion, bronzed skin with a hydrated glow is forever my number one beauty motto – especially for days spent exploring London. The Tan-Luxe The Face Illuminating Self-Tan Drops are perfect for looking a little more sun-kissed.

A hydrating setting spray is also a must if you’re constantly hopping on-and-off the tube, which can dry out your skin. The ICONIC London Prep-Set-Glow Setting Spray is so handy for this (especially in the travel size), and it’s a staple for my big days out. Finally, I go nowhere without a lip balm in my bag, and Caudalie’s Lip Conditioner is one of my ultimate favourites for nourishing my lips after a dose of city sun.

For travelling

During summer, I like to spend as much time reclined horizontally by the ocean and as little time perched deskside as possible. As a sun-baby who spends a horrific amount of time in Heathrow airport, I’m always on the hunt for travel-friendly beauty buys that will maximise out-of-office relaxation. Tom Ford’s Rose Prick Eau De Parfum 10ml travel spray is small but mighty - a romantic spritz for tropical date nights.

Likewise, the ELEMIS Superfood Multi Facial Mist is a product I have used forever in lieu of setting spray. It’s revitalising, brightening and smells utterly divine - ideal for securing a lighter makeup blend while on holiday. Finally, Lancôme’s Idole Liquid Blush - for amping up the peachy tint of my cheeks when my skin finally sinks into a sun-kissed glow.
