Celebrity Traitors star Alan Carr expertly snatched the prize money away from the unsuspecting Faithfuls despite not being able to keep a straight face for the entire series. After being crowned the winner in the hit BBC show, he's now seeking success of a different kind – in hospitality! The star is launching a new Disney+ series named Castle Man, which follows his unique quest for a dream castle.
Appearing as a guest on The Jonathan Ross Show, the comedian explained that he is in the market to buy a historic castle to call home after spending time at Ardross Castle, where Traitors is filmed. "I fancy a move and I loved being in The Traitors castle, so I thought, 'I'm going to get myself one'. I'm buying a castle. I'm having a midlife crisis. I want a turret to call my own. I'm in my turret era," he said.
But instead of seeking a private regal residence, he wants to open it up for members of the public, too. He told the chat show host: "I know it sounds very grand. I'm moving from where I am at the minute, I want animals there, I want a community thing."
Continuing: “I'm lonely where I am. It’ll be nice, having people come there and have a cream tea. I want people to come in and have donkeys and stuff everywhere." The 49-year-old has recently moved out of the Kent home he shared with his ex Paul Drayton, and this new project seems like the perfect start.
Alan is quickly becoming well-versed in the world of property with his other popular show with bestie Amanda Holden, where they renovate villas abroad. The house they flipped for Amanda & Alan's Spanish Job earned them a hefty profit of €180,000, (£156,000) which they gave to charity, and they've since travelled to Greece to emulate the success there.

Ardross Castle is a 19th-century venue that forms the backdrop for the popular show. Its heritage dates back to the 1st Duke of Sutherland, who bought Ardross in the late 1700s and built a hunting lodge on the grounds. Now, it is owned by the McTaggart family, who acquired the estate in 1983 and began to restore the place.
The official website explains that "the estate is located in Ross-shire and is available for exclusive use hire, for both corporate and private clients. The Castle is not a hotel and we do not let individual rooms".
