Kate Garraway took to Instagram on Sunday to ask for her fans' help with a home issue. The Good Morning Britain presenter, 58, shared a video revealing that last summer her neighbours had gotten rid of their pond, and now lots of frogs have ended up in her garden.
"My daughter was panicking, thinking, 'They're all going to dry out. They've got no water to go to', so we panicked and bought the smallest pond in the world," Kate explained while standing in the garden at her £4 million London abode.

She went on to share her delight in how there is now frogspawn in the pond, but has grown concerned that her pond is too small for them. "I'm now thinking that I need to build an extension on to this pond to give them a bit more space," the star of The Celebrity Traitors said, before asking for advice regarding what she should do next – extend her pond or take them somewhere else with more room. "Any advice for a new frog mummy! Very welcome," Kate captioned the post, having explained that her pond is "starting to smell a bit stagnant". The broadcaster's followers were quick to help her out in the comments.
"Just let nature do its thing. No need to move them," wrote one supportive fan, while GMB doctor Dr Amir Khan penned: "Leave them Kate, honestly it’s best not to move frogspawn, even if your pond is small. The eggs are really delicate, so moving them can damage them or expose them to sudden temperature changes."
He advised: "There’s also a risk of spreading disease between ponds. And frogs lay loads because they know it won’t all survive - but do get a little solar-powered air pump for your pond."
The presenter, who started out on ITV News, lives in north London with her two children, Darcey, 20, and William (or Billy, as he is known), 16. Previously, it was where she cared for her late husband, Derek Draper, who passed away in 2024 following a battle with Covid-19.
