Princess Kate makes first appearance following Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's arrest


The Princess of Wales braved the chilly weather on Saturday with the royal heading out for the Six Nations match between England and Ireland

The Princess of Wales made a solo outing on Saturday, heading down to Twickenham in order to watch England take on Ireland in the latest round of the Six Nations. England currently sits one point ahead of Ireland on the leaderboard.

While Kate and her husband, the Prince of Wales, have occasionally been joined at sporting events like football matches and Wimbledon with their eldest children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, on this occasion the royal duo skipped the match.

Back in 2023, George was seen accompanying his father as they watched Wales take on Argentina, with George making a rare overseas trip for the match.

Kate was seen sitting with England player Fin Baxter, who is sadly missing the tournament after he required surgery on his foot following an injury.

Kate's appearance at the tournament comes at a tumultuous time for the royal family after Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was arrested on Thursday on suspicion of misconduct in a public office. He was later released, but remains under investigation.

Laughs before the match

Kate had a laugh with Deborah Bull, the president of the Rugby Football Union before the match, but the smile disappeared quickly after Ireland took a commanding lead.

Unhappy with the score

As half-time was called, England was still trailing Ireland, and Kate didn't look too happy the result.
