Meghan Markle is showing that there's nothing but love between her and her former Suits co-stars, if but a little delayed.
The Duchess of Sussex was brought up a couple times by her former co-star and on-screen love interest Patrick J. Adams during his appearance on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast.
When Patrick was asked by host Amanda Hirsch whether he'd ever received a handwritten note by Meghan, he confirmed that he did, and even called her penmanship "impeccable," and Amanda added that she'd received one too, alongside her shipment of As ever jam.
"Did you? You got a jam? I did not get a jam," he exclaimed, with Amanda saying he needs to "get on the list." She even quipped that she hadn't yet opened the jam because she considered it too sacred, with her handwritten letter from Meghan kept in its own box.
Patrick then quipped that they should taste test the jam, and it looks like they don't have to wait long! In a clip of the moment shared on Instagram, Meghan dropped a rare comment, saying: "Jams en route for you @patrickjadams & @sleepinthegardn Hugs to those beautiful babies. Send my love to your mom."
Since 2016, Patrick has been married to fellow actress and Pretty Little Liars alum Troian Bellisario, with the pair sharing three children (the youngest arriving just this January).
Also on the podcast, Patrick opened up about how Meghan would use her body language to subtly indicate how she'd feel about her co-star during more tense moments. "I got a lot of eye rolls. That was a constant with Meghan, her rolling her eyes at me like, 'Oh my god, what are you doing?'."
He specifically quipped about that likely being her reaction to his Instagram bio, which reads: "The other guy from that show that you're watching on that app because that girl married that prince," even joking that he had to change it at some point. "It's the sort of thing that wherever Meghan is, if she's ever read that, she's going, 'Patrick, give me a break.'"
Amanda confirmed that she'd received a letter from Meghan herself saying that she had no hard feelings about whatever her Suits co-star was to say on the podcast, to which Patrick responded: "What she's gone through is insane."
"I was worried that this trailer would have people at her throat again, and she wrote me a note saying, basically saying, 'Thank you for being afraid for me, but don't be, it'll be fine'," Amanda continued.
She noted that she'd shown her support for Meghan on social media before With Love, Meghan dropped, although hasn't actually met the Duchess of Sussex yet. "I haven't met her. The way that happened was that her show was coming out, and I had said on my Instagram, where I say stupid [expletive], that I am worried for Meghan. Because you know, you've been protective over her in the past."
