The late Queen's heartwarming reaction to great-granddaughter comparison
The Prince and Princess of Wales' three children have all drawn comparisons to different members of the Royal Family over the years. Princess Charlotte in particular has been likened to her great-grandmother, the late Queen Elizabeth II – a comparison that the late monarch was apparently made aware of.
In his new biography, Queen Elizabeth II: A Personal History, Hugo Vickers recalled the late Queen's 2019 visit to Scotland, including when the then first minister of Scotland, Nicola Sturgeon, stayed at Balmoral.
"Sturgeon made the perceptive remark that Princess Charlotte was very like the Queen," Hugo writes. 'She lit up with a beaming smile, clearly thrilled that the resemblance had been noted.'"
Princess of Wales' comment that 'touched' fellow cancer survivor Olivia Munn
Actress Olivia Munn has revealed one thing the Princess of Wales said that really resonated with her amid her own cancer battle.
The New Girl star was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer in April 2023 and underwent a double mastectomy. Speaking about her struggles during treatment, Olivia recalled a comment that fellow cancer survivor Kate made that "really touched" her.
"She was like, ‘You think that the big things are the things you have to worry about,’ – I'm paraphrasing her – ‘But it's the treatment after you've gone through the big things that's really taxing and hard on you.’ And I was like, 'Oh, somebody else is feeling that'," Olivia recalled to People magazine at a recent press junket for her show Your Friends & Neighbors.
The actress added: "That's where it feels really good … when you hear other people's experiences, because it is true – you feel so much better when you know you're not alone."
The Princess of Wales publicly announced her cancer diagnosis in March 2024. She underwent preventative chemotherapy and shared in January 2025 that she is in remission.

Inside the biggest royal family feuds: from Prince William and Prince Harry to many more
Just like the average family, members of the royal family are subject to the occasional fallout. From marriage scandals to throne abdications, even the late Queen Elizabeth II wasn't immune to the occasional fallout with her fellow family members.
Whilst there have been countless feuds in the royal family throughout history, in recent years there has also been an influx of bickering royals, especially following the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's shock departure from the UK in 2020.
See below as we take a look at headline-making royal rows…
King Charles' peculiar diet rule family are 'not allowed' to disobey behind closed doors
State banquets already come with their long list of royal rules and requirements, but you might be surprised to hear that King Charles maintains some of his own personal demands behind closed doors, too.
Far from pomp and circumstance, one thing reigns supreme with the monarch's balanced diet - there must be no waste, according to Queen Camilla's son, Tom Parker Bowles. "There is no waste, everything is recycled, everything is used from the table," he said in an interview with The Mirror.

On Sunday evening, Princess Caroline of Hanover attended the Ball of the Sovereign Order of Malta at the Cercle de l'Union Interalliée in Paris.

Why the late Queen worried about son Andrew the most out of her children
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has often been referred to as the late Queen's "favorite" out of her four children, whom she shared with Prince Philip.
But royal biographer Robert Hardman says the situation was "more complex" and "more nuanced" than that – and there was a specific reason she "worried" about her middle son the most.
Speaking on HELLO!'s special live recording of A Right Royal Podcast last week to discuss his new book, Elizabeth II, Robert spoke about her late Majesty's relationship with King Charles, Princess Anne, Andrew, and Prince Edward.
See what he had to say in our VIP feature below.
