Prince Louis's eighth birthday video on Thursday gave us a rare insight into the Waleses's family life – and also revealed the young prince's current favourite hobbies.
Prince William And Kate's youngest child was seen making sandcastles, jumping off a boat, and playing cricket on a recent family holiday in Cornwall.
Fans soon speculated that Louis may have inherited his love of the sport from his grandfather, Michael Middleton, who is also known to love cricket. Louis and Michael are often said to look like each other - but it appears they have even more in common than that!
One royal watcher wrote on social media: "This is so cute because Mike Tindall mentioned that Michael Middleton loves cricket. I bet he plays it with his grandpa."
The Prince of Wales previously opened up about his youngest son's love of cricket while helping out in the kitchens at food charity Surplus to Supper in 2024, saying he "loves" the sport.

Taking after grandad
The Prince and Princess of Wales appeared on Mike Tindall's The Good, The Bad and The Rugby podcast in 2023, where they discussed the family's love of sports.
During the episode, Mike asked the Princess: "I know your dad's a massive cricket fan, isn't he?" Kate responded: "Yes, and I suppose sports in general. If you ask both of my parents about who is the most competitive, they'd sit down for quite a long time arguing!"

"As a family, we're very active, and I always remember using our bodies, whether it's in the Lake District or Scotland or swimming from a young age," Kate recalled. "They always encouraged us to be very physically active and into trying team sports."

Prince Louis turned eight on Thursday, and his parents shared unseen footage and his official birthday portrait to celebrate.

The official picture showed Louis enjoying a boat ride and grinning from ear to ear, while wrapping up warm in a jumper from Boden.
