Good morning!
Good morning everyone and welcome to another day of royal news.
Stick with us for the latest updates, as Zara Tindall turns 45, and the Royal Windsor Horse Show continues.
Home sweet home
There's no place like home! After a whirlwind two days in Italy, the Princess of Wales is no doubt back on British soil, heading straight back to Forest Lodge in Windsor Great Park.
While the tour was a massive professional milestone - her first official overseas visit since 2022 - we know the "forever home" reunion with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis was the moment she was most looking forward to.
It's been a week of "firsts" for the Princess: her first solo international trip in years, her "most vocal" public appearances yet and even a pasta-making masterclass. But now, it's back to the school run and family life in the quiet seclusion of Windsor.
Why the world is talking about Kate's Italian tour
If you've been following Princess Kate’s trip to Italy this week, you'll have noticed something a little different. According to royal experts, we are seeing the Princess at her "most natural and most vocal" in a very long time.
Observers have noted a "newfound confidence" in the Princess during this solo tour - her first major overseas engagement since her return to full duties. Find out more about what our Royal Editor Emily Nash thinks here.
Happy 45th birthday, Zara Tindall!
It is a big day for one of the most popular members of the royal family - Zara Tindall is celebrating her 45th birthday today! The Olympian and mum-of-three is likely spending the day privately at her home on the Gatcombe Park estate, surrounded by her husband, Mike Tindall, and their children, Mia, Lena and Lucas.
While she does not hold a formal royal title, Zara has become an "essential" part of the family’s public image, often seen bringing a bit of fun and "grounded" energy to major events.
Just earlier this week, Zara was the supportive cousin, joining the Prince and Princess of Wales for a garden party at Buckingham Palace. She looked stunning in a blue floral-appliqué dress, proving that whether she is in riding boots or a fascinator, she always gets it right.

Mike Tindall's birthday tribute
Leave it to Mike Tindall to give us the most relatable royal birthday update! As Zara Tindall celebrates her 45th birthday today, her husband took to Instagram to share a hilarious glimpse into their family life.
Posting a photo from the golf course, the former rugby star wrote: "I can't believe she's letting me play golf on her birthday. What a legend!"
Health update on Queen Margrethe
We have an important update regarding Queen Margrethe of Denmark, following the news of her hospital admission earlier this week.
The Danish Royal Court has confirmed that Her Majesty, who was admitted to Rigshospitalet on Thursday, has undergone a balloon angioplasty of the coronary artery.
In a reassuring statement, the Palace shared that the procedure was a success and that "Her Majesty is in good health."
While the 86-year-old former monarch is recovering well, she will remain at Rigshospitalet for a few more days of observation, as originally planned.
Charlene and Albert enjoy golf
The streets of the Principality might be gearing up for high-speed racing, but things took a slightly slower (yet just as stylish) pace this week! Prince Albert and Princess Charlene turned out for the first-ever Formula E Monte-Carlo Tee Prix, a unique event that blends the world of motorsport with the precision of golf.
The day was all about friendly competition for a fantastic cause, with proceeds going directly to the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation to support its vital water safety and drowning prevention programs.
It is the perfect teaser for what is shaping up to be a massive weekend in Monaco, with the ePrix officially taking over the legendary street circuit on 16-17 May.
Why Zara has the 'best deal' in the Firm
She is the daughter of a Princess, granddaughter of the late Queen, and 22nd in line to the throne - yet Zara Tindall has no royal title. And according to Zara herself, she wouldn't have it any other way!
While Princess Anne famously elected not to give her children, Zara and Peter, courtesy titles at birth, royal experts say it was actually a "huge favour".
By opting out of the HRH status, Anne gave her daughter the ultimate royal luxury - freedom.

Bellissima! Kate shows off her 'perfect' Italian
She might have been modest about her skills in the past, but the Princess of Wales has well and truly proven she is a natural linguist!
During the final day of her deeply moving tour in Reggio Emilia, Kate sat down with a group of schoolchildren at the Salvador Allende pre-school for a very special lesson. Introducing herself as "Caterina," the Princess wasted no time getting to know the little ones, even asking them to teach her a few new words!
"Can you teach me something? What is Italian for roots of the tree?" she asked. When the children replied with "Radici," Kate was delighted, telling them: "There you go! I've learned a new word."
Are you impressed by Kate's Italian skills? Watch the sweet moment she learns a new word in our story.
Princess Astrid of Norway undergoes heart surgery
We are sending our best wishes to the Norwegian royal family today following the news that Princess Astrid has been admitted to the hospital.
The 94-year-old Princess, who is the elder sister of King Harald, was taken to the Rikshospitalet in Oslo on Thursday after suffering from heart failure.
It's been reported that Her Highness underwent a procedure to have a temporary pacemaker inserted. In a reassuring update, the Palace shared that the surgery went well and that the Princess is doing well given the circumstances.
However, she is expected to remain in the hospital for a period of observation as she recovers.
Inside the Wales household
They might be raising a future King, but when it comes to discipline at home, the Prince and Princess of Wales are all about "gentle parenting" with a firm twist.
While most families have a "naughty step," the Wales household at Adelaide Cottage reportedly uses a "chat sofa." But the most surprising rule of all? A strict, household-wide ban on shouting.

Princess Kate's sweet £8 tribute
The Princess of Wales is the undisputed queen of the "high-low" fashion mix, and her latest jewellery choice in Italy might be her most sentimental yet! During her visit to a pre-school in Reggio Emilia, Kate rolled up her sleeves to reveal a surprising new addition to her wrist.
Sitting right alongside her classic Cartier "Ballon Bleu" watch (worth a cool £5,000) was a delicate, floral fabric bracelet from the Italian brand Atelier Molayem. The cost? The fabric itself is under £10! But it's the meaning behind it that truly shines.
The bracelet features three 9kt gold cube charms - worth £78 each - bearing the initials G, C and L for her children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. It was a beautiful way to keep her children close to her heart while she was miles away on her solo tour.

A King's vision
It turns out King Charles III isn't just a patron of traditional causes - he's also the secret inspiration behind a major leap in sustainable tech! In an exclusive interview, Australian inventor Rick Parish revealed how a conversation with the King (long known for his "pioneer" stance on the environment) helped spark his mission to bring "power to the people".
Parish's latest innovation - a self-contained green energy unit - aims to provide clean, reliable electricity to remote communities and areas hit by natural disasters.

La Dolce Vita!
The Princess of Wales may have just touched back down in Britain, but her landmark solo trip to Reggio Emilia has officially joined the "pantheon" of legendary royal visits to Italy.
From Kate's perfect Italian to her emotional meetings with local schoolchildren, the tour was a masterclass in "La Dolce Vita." But she is far from the first royal to fall under Italy's spell!
As King Charles himself said during his 18th visit to the country: "It is simply irresistible."
Today, we are taking a trip down memory lane with Best Quality Designer Handbag 's Alex Hurtado to look at the most iconic "bellissimo" moments through the years. Click here.

A backstage pass to the King's garden party
I knew a garden party at Buckingham Palace would be a special occasion. What I didn't realise is that the King would be so personally invested in our enjoyment of the afternoon that he'd take a moment out of his day to check that I and HELLO!'s magazine editor Jessica Callan had enjoyed enough tea in the back garden of Buckingham Palace!
Find out everything that happened when Best Quality Designer Handbag 's Sophie Vokes-Dudgeon and Jessica Callan braved the rain to party with King Charles.
Lady Louise Windsor in action
Lady Louise Windsor was the picture of happiness on Friday as she was pictured at her part-time job during the Royal Windsor Horse Show.
The 22-year-old royal, who is King Charles's niece, has been quietly working behind the scenes at the annual event for several years, as previously uncovered by HELLO!.
Currently wrapping up her English degree at the University of St Andrews, Louise looked visibly at ease as she marched around the showgrounds.
She donned tall brown boots, a checked skirt, and a white coat, proudly displaying an official staff badge that read: Lady Louise Mountbatten-Windsor.
Peter Phillips' guestlist - exclusive info
Three members of the royal family will be absent from Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling's nuptials next month.
Following recent speculation around whether Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor would attend the wedding of his nephew Peter and his bride Harriet Sperling, a friend of the couple exclusively tells Best Quality Designer Handbag : "Peter and Harriet's wedding is an intimate occasion with their close friends and immediate family around them in the Cotswolds... It’s Peter and Harriet’s special day, and clearly their attendance would cause a distraction to the whole day."
Find out who the third family member that didn't make the guest list is in our exclusive scoop.
Mike Tindall celebrates Zara's birthday in style
Zara Tindall turned 45 on Friday and marked the occasion alongside her sports star husband.
The former England rugby star, 47, is currently in the middle of his annual charity golf event at the Belfy Golf Club in the Midlands, which raises money for Cure Parkinson's and the Matt Hampson Foundation.
Check out all the best photos from the fun-filled occasion, which also included a reunion with her former sister-in-law Autumn Phillips.
Queen Camilla's viral moment
King Charles and Queen Camilla attended the State Opening of Parliament at the Palace of Westminster on Wednesday for the King's Speech.
Charles, 77, gave one of the longest speeches by a monarch this century at the State Opening of Parliament in the Palace of Westminster, coming in at 1,285 words and lasting 11 minutes and 40 seconds.
It's one of the monarch's most important roles, but moments later, the King experienced a very ordinary husband-and-wife moment with Camilla.
How rich is King Charles?
The latest figures from The Sunday Times' annual rich list revealed that King Charles increased his personal wealth by £40 million in the past year, with his net worth rising from £640 million to a total of £680 million.
It also means that he's climbed an impressive 33 places on the publication's rich list since 2023, now sitting in 230th position.
But just how rich is King Charles, and how did he increase his fortune?
Will the royals ever live in Buckingham Palace?
Despite undergoing a massive £369 million taxpayer-funded renovation, Buckingham Palace is shifting its purpose. King Charles III currently treats the 775-room residence as a "monarchy HQ," choosing to live nearby at Clarence House with Queen Camilla.
It looks like Prince William intends to follow his father's example when he takes the throne; the Prince of Wales reportedly plans to skip a move to the palace, opting instead to stay at his "forever home," Forest Lodge in Windsor, alongside Princess Catherine and their three children.
We asked the royal experts - aka our very own Emily Nash - for her insights on why the Prince and Princess of Wales won't be moving into Buckingham Palace when they take over the throne.
Meghan Markle dresses like Princess Diana
The Duchess of Sussex recently took to Instagram to share a joyous Mother's Day outing to Disneyland alongside Prince Harry, Prince Archie, Princess Lilibet, and Doria Ragland.
Despite a busy day of theme park attractions, Meghan looked perfectly put together in a classic white shirt, timeless jeans, and Veronica Beard loafers.
This look screams "old money" chic. It’s a preppy aesthetic that mirrors the exact kind of casual, effortless style that Princess Diana mastered so well.

Charles and Cam, just like your parents
Hello Best Quality Designer Handbag readers. I'll be taking you through the rest of your Friday, or perhaps even your Saturday depending on where you are in the world.
As we look back at a busy week globally for the royals, I love this moment caught on camera of Queen Camilla hurrying 'chatterbox' King Charles along – it's nice to see wives and husbands act the same no matter if they live in a palace or three-bed semi.
Wills' support
Prince William has shared his support for Kit Birks, an author, mental health activist, and adventure athlete who is undertaking the "Stride Beyond Silence" challenge: trekking 8,500 km across 10 countries to raise awareness and funding for suicide prevention.
"Keep going, Kit, an amazing effort for an incredible cause. We’re with you every step of the way!" commented William on her Instagram account, adding "W" to confirm it was personalized.
Meghan in Geneva
Big news for Duchess Meghan this week.
Meghan will join World Health Organisation (WHO) Director-General Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus and families affected by online harm this Sunday evening in Geneva, Switzerland, for the inauguration of The Lost Screen Memorial on Geneva’s Place des Nations, ahead of the opening of the 79th World Health Assembly.
The Memorial - an installation of 50 illuminated lightboxes, each displaying the lock screen image of a child who lost their life as a result of online violence and digital harm - was created by Archewell Philanthropies, the charitable foundation founded by Prince Harry and Meghan in partnership with The Parents’ Network.
