It first hit our Instagram feeds in autumn/winter 2021, but Totême's cult shearling coat is still a staple of the style set. One of the Scandi brand's most popular pieces every year, the high street has offered up several viral lookalikes, and M&S has just dropped a new dupe that I know is going to sell out.

Granted, Totême's is made from real shearling while the Marks & Spencer lookalike is not, but there's a huge £2K price difference between the two, with the high street style retailing for just £55. An absolute steal, as it's so versatile and likely to take you through several autumn/winter seasons.
While initially it might look like the kind of piece you'd probably only wear with casual winter outfits, I've seen it styled (and look amazing) with a satin midi skirt on Jessica Skye. The style influencer still regularly shares posts wearing it, writing in 2023: "3 winters later and it’s still my favourite jacket", and in October captioned one: "The jacket that keeps on giving every winter".
A shearling toggle jacket also pairs so well with straight-leg leather trousers. You could even style it as part of a chic cream tonal outfit during the transitional seasons - think a chunky knit and a pair of off-white jeans.
More lightweight than your big winter coat, it's ideal as we move into spring. It also comes in a chocolate brown colourway. They're both currently still available in most sizes from a UK 6-24, but selling fast.
