They say some people wear their heart on their sleeve, but what about their skirt? That's what This Morning's regular fashion stylist, Jo Good, did and I can't be the only one who fell in love with her heart print skirt.

Jo, 71, featured on Tuesday's show to inspire viewers on Valentine's outfits. And while her advice was top tier, it was her own skirt that had viewers obsessed.

  • Jo Good wore a heart print skirt during a fashion segment on Tuesday's This Morning.
  • We tracked the stylish midi skirt down at Never Fully Dressed, £79 / $140.
  • Jo, 71, colour-blocked the skirt with a coordinating pink cardigan.

The broadcaster, aka @middleagedminx, looked effortlessly sweet in the heart-emblazoned skirt, which taps into fashion's love affair of all things kitsch.

Proving the timeless appeal of hearts as a print, not just for Valentine's Day, Jo styled her skirt perfectly for spring with a coordinating cardigan in the same shade of pink, alongside a pair of chunky heeled boots.

"It's not too much is it? This skirt, I love it! This is a play on the slip dress," Jo told presenters Cat Deeley and Ben Shepherd.

How Jo styled the skirt

Jo proves you can wear cute, retro prints whatever your age. The petite fashionista leaned into the Valentine's theme with a sweet, pink textured cardigan. Here's how she made it stylish without being too saccharine:

  • Jumper: Jo chose a fitted knit in a similar pink shade from H&M to coordinate with the skirt. She told viewers: "A strappy top would be too much at 71, a cardigan just balances it out"
  • Heels: This is where Jo elevated the look to cool, rather than too dressed up. She wore a pair of chunky heeled boots from Vinted, giving the look an edge.
  • Accessories: Jo kept accessories to a minimum to allow the skirt it's moment.

How to style a heart print skirt beyond Valentine's

While Jo's skirt is spot on for February 14, you can easily wear it beyond if you switch up the styling.

To tone down the Valentine's connotations, wear with neutrals including black, grey or cream; think a relaxed T-shirt worn loose, a crew neck knit or a fluffy jumper.

A white heel come spring will keep the look fresh and seasonal, and see you through to summer.
