Alison Hammond's denim dress just confirmed what I already knew - denim dresses are the spring staple you shouldn't sleep on.
Joining Dermot O'Leary on This Morning, Alison thrilled her style watchers with her ageless, timeless denim dress that is not only a classic but an any-age midi dress too.

Alison's denim midi dress from Monsoon (which you can also buy from M&S and Next) is capsule wardrobe-worthy, as it's a dark, sumptuous indigo denim with standout details like a rounded zipper, slightly puffed sleeves and oh-so-flattering darting. I can see why shoppers call it "so flattering" and "beautiful".
The dress, called the Erin Zip Denim Midi Dress, is designed with a long zip on the bodice, and three-quarter sleeves - perfect for this time of year. The two oversized pockets add a little detail, while the slightly nipped in waist flatters any figure. Note the subtle flow of the skirt, which goes to a mid-length.
© InstagramAnother key detail - and the most comfortable detail - is that the denim, while described as heavy and hardwearing, has an element of stretch to it. Giving denim a little stretch allows it to move with your body, and fit you much more comfortable than hard, stiff denim.
