Kelly Ripa's youngest son, Joaquin Consuelos, returned to his family home in New York City to deliver his mom the ultimate surprise in celebration of her 25th anniversary hosting LIVE. During the special episode on February 20, the show aired a video message from Joaquin, who had snuck into the $27 million property to film a video for his mom.
"Hi mom, you may be wondering where I am. I'm currently in your home," said Joaqun. "I just got back from rehearsal for Death of a Salesman (opening May 9), and I'm feeling rather tired." Joaquin then got into bed, as he continued: "I'll make myself at home here. I love you, proud of you, and here's to 25 more." Joaquin then started to laugh as the video cut.
Kelly and Mark Consuelos previously gave Architectural Digest a peek inside their $27 million townhouse on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. Kelly and Mark purchased the lavish abode 12 years ago and transformed it into a modern living space with notes of French and Old Hollywood glamour inspired by the film Mommie Dearest.
© ABCKelly called her home her "favorite place on earth". "We’ve moved several times in our lives, but no matter where we go, for me, this is my forever home," she shared. "When I walked in here, I was like, 'This is the final place where I will live.' I love this house so much." She continued: "I don’t want to sound morbid but they’ll have to carry me out of here feet first because I have gotten good and comfortable in this house."
The couple noted that their white marble kitchen "really is the heart and soul" of the classy house. It features a specific area for coffee since they're both self-proclaimed "fussy coffee drinkers," as well as a dining space and gigantic island.
Kelly and Mark have enjoyed living alone since their kids, Michael, Lola, and Joaquin, all flew the nest for college. Joaquin, who is represented by CAA & Untitled, is set to portray the character Colby in Hulu's upcoming pilot Foster Dade, adapted from Nash Jenkins’ novel Foster Dade Explores the Cosmos.

Mark shared: "They don't live here anymore, so when we leave our bedroom, it feels like they're still with us." Kelly added: "And I could stare at my kids' eyes forever. I just think they're great."
