Pink has enjoyed an incredible career since releasing her first single 26 years ago, and now her hard work is being recognized with one of the most prestigious honors.
The singer has been nominated for the 2026 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame for the very first time, and she shared her disbelief in an emotional statement after the news was released on Wednesday.
"Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nominee. How is this possible?! Look what we did together y'all!!!!!" she posted on Instagram.
"I never ever fit neatly into a box. That was kind of the whole point. This nomination isn't mine; it's ours. It's for every one of us who ever felt like an outsider or underdog and found something in this music that made them feel less alone."
She added: "If that's you, make your voice heard! You can vote every day at vote.rockhall.com."
Pink is one of 17 artists who could be inducted into the prestigious US-based institution. Other nominees include Lauryn Hill, Phil Collins, Mariah Carey, Oasis, Wu-Tang Clan, Black Crowes, Jeff Buckley, Melissa Etheridge, Billy Idol, INXS, Iron Maiden, Joy Division/New Order, New Edition, Sade, Shakira, and Luther Vandross.
"This diverse list of talented nominees recognizes the ever-evolving faces and sounds of rock & roll and its continued impact on youth culture," John Sykes, chairman of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation, said in a statement, per Rolling Stone.
"Induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is music's highest honor, and we look forward to celebrating the class of 2026 this fall."
Between six and eight performers from the nominees will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. The official inductees will be announced in April, with the ceremony slated to take place in the fall.
Pink's nomination comes after she had a difficult start to the new year. The musician revealed in a post on New Year's Eve that she was getting "two new shiny discs in my neck" because "Rock 'n' roll is a contact sport."
Sharing a smiling selfie of herself in a hospital gown with a large white bandage on her neck, Pink said that she was "leaving behind all of my hurt in 2025."
She added: "This year was a doozy for all of us, and it ran the spectrum from absolutely devastating to mildly annoying. In amongst all of that, there was so much beauty.
"I've realised dreams this year, as well as nightmares. And I end the year giving reverence to, paying attention to, and to fixing my body. It may not be a fancy facelift, but I am getting two new shiny discs in my neck. A new scar, a new reminder, that I appreciate this vessel that I have and use it for all its worth."
She continued: "Rock 'n' roll is a contact sport. And as I sit here by myself on New Year's Eve in a hospital room while my family is happily snowboarding- I know that 2026 is going to be better because that is the choice that I have made."
