LeAnn Rimes is just being honest. During an appearance on Live with Kelly and Mark on Friday, February 27, the 9-1-1: Nashville star opened up about forgetting a key detail of her long-time relationship with husband Eddie Cibrian.
The couple, who met in 2009 and left their respective partners for one another, tied the knot shortly after. It's just that LeAnn, 43, cannot remember exactly when she married her husband, 52.
After Kelly Ripa asked the country singer about her upcoming wedding anniversary, LeAnn said: "[The Live producers] asked me what [anniversary Eddie and I] were on and I said, '14.' I skipped a year, a whole year went away in my mind."
She even went so far as to look up the gift for 14 years of marriage, which is ivory. LeAnn realized her mistake, saying: "Oh no! We're actually on 15."
LeAnn and Eddie's private California wedding
On April 22, 2011, LeAnn and Eddie tied the knot in a low-key wedding, marrying in front of 40 guests in a private home in California. To the ceremony, the singer wore a handmade Reem Acra gown accessorized with sparkling jewelry.
Life after tying the knot
Following the marriage, LeAnn officially became the stepmom to Eddie's two sons, Mason and Jake, who he shares with his ex, Brandi Glanville, and she still enjoys an incredibly close bond with the two young adults.
In her and Eddie's 15 years together, their relationship has evolved a lot. "We've been through so much together," LeAnn told E! News on Thursday, February 26.
She continued: "Now our boys, my stepsons are 22 and 18. They're grown boys. And to help raise his sons — we have a very calm life, which is wonderful. And it didn't start out that way at all, but now, we've really grown into — we just love each other. We love being around each other. We laugh a lot. He's just a good guy, he really is."
Their relationship is each other's top priority. She told E! News: "We come first before anything, and we always make sure that's the case."
LeAnn and Eddie aren't shy about their successful relationship. In September 2025, the singer told E! News: "It's about just being present with each other, honestly. You think you know someone, but in 15 years, you evolve so much. It's like learning every day when you wake up."
What will Eddie and LeAnn do for their 15th anniversary?
As Mark Consuelos asked if the couple had anything special planned for the milestone anniversary, LeAnn said: "We always get away. I'm actually working during that time, so we're just going to get away for a couple days."
The singer is very busy this year – filming 9-1-1: Nashville and heading out on a seven date tour marking the thirty years since she released her seminal country hit "Blue."
