Madonna just touched down in Milan for the Dolce & Gabbana fall/winter 2026 show – and her choice of ensemble oozes sultry style. The 67-year-old donned a silk black slip dress that featured delicate lace embroidery on the cups and hemline. The garment was cinched at the waist via a lace-up corset.
The singer layered the look with a fitted black blazer and sheer tights. For a pop of bold color, she added a pair of bright blue latex gloves, with the look completed with patent-black pointed-toe stilettos and oversized sunglasses. For a touch of glitz, the star added a diamond-encrusted choker necklace and matching drop earrings.
Madonna took to Instagram to share a video of herself strutting across a balcony in her latest ensemble. In the caption, she penned: "Ciao Milano." Madonna perfected the underwear-as-outerwear trend in the lace slip dress.
The blurring of outerwear and underwear was resurrected on the autumn/winter 2025 runway, with risque, hybrid pieces blending sensuality with contemporary dressing. Simone Rocha styled fuzzy fur bras with leather jackets and billowing skirts, Chanel exposed bras with tailored skirt suits. Over at Givenchy, Sarah Burton paired barely-there bras with sheer, mesh dresses.
Meanwhile, romantic slip dresses were championed during the spring/summer 2024 shows, with the likes of Coperni, Gucci and Versace all embracing iterations of the whimsical négligée. With delicate mesh, sumptuous silk, intricate lace, and flirtatious hems, the look takes classic evening wear to a daring new level.
Madonna and Dolce & Gabbana
The singer's all-black ensemble was the perfect choice for Domenico Dolce & Stefano Gabbana ready-to-wear-show that consisted of a solely monochromatic palette with pops of denim.
"Identity is the ultimate luxury – a language built on roots that are still alive: Sicily as emotion, black as strength, lace as intimacy, tailoring as authority," read the show's notes.
Madonna has collaborated with the Italian fashion house for a staggering 40 years. "Domenico and Stefano are like brothers to me. We have such a long history together," she told Vogue back in January. Madonna is the face of Dolce & Gabbana's The One Fragrance.
"I remember I had just given birth to Lola, [and] the first time I put on one of their dresses: my waist was snatched, my boobs were out, and I felt confident," she shared.
"The three of us are attracted to the idea of pushing boundaries and challenging social norms."
Back in September 2024, Dolce & Gabbana reimagined Madonna’s iconic cone bra from the 1990 Blonde Ambition tour that was originally designed by Jean Paul Gaultier for his autumn/winter 1984 show. Sumptuous satin, silk, lace, and tulle mingled with shimmering sheer embellishments in Milan.
