Keri Russell wins Best Actress at 2026 Actor Awards with Matthew Rhys by her side

Keri Russell delivered a masterclass in understated elegance at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles for the SAG Actor Awards 2026, opting for a sleek, one-shoulder black gown that perfectly reflected her signature minimalist style.

The floor-length dress featured soft draping at the waist and an asymmetric neckline that highlighted her shoulders, while a subtle slit allowed for graceful movement as she crossed the stage to accept her award.

She paired the look with pointed black heels and a structured black clutch, keeping accessories polished but impactful with statement diamond drop earrings and a bold cocktail ring. Her hair was styled in a smooth, low bun with a sharp side part, allowing her striking features and red lip to take focus.

By her side on the red carpet was Matthew Rhys, her partner and star of The Beast in Me. The couple – notoriously private but deeply supportive of one another – looked effortlessly coordinated.

Matthew wore a rich chocolate-brown double-breasted suit with a dark tie and subtle lapel pin, striking a sophisticated contrast to Keri’s classic black. 

Later in the evening, Keri took the stage to accept Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series for her role as Katherine "Kate" Wyler in The Diplomat.

In the political thriller, she plays the newly appointed US Ambassador to the United Kingdom, thrust into the role amid an international crisis despite feeling ill-suited for the job. 

"Thank you very much, I thought for sure no," she said in her acceptance speech. "This is such an honor and to be voted by the peers, it's just incredible," she added. "I'm just grateful."

She triumphed in a fiercely competitive category, beating out Rhea Seehorn for Pluribus, Britt Lower for Severance, and The White Lotus stars Parker Posey and Aimee Lou Wood.

For Keri, the win marks another high point in a career defined by thoughtful choices. She first rose to fame in Felicity before earning critical acclaim for The Americans, where she met Matthew. 

The couple share a son and have largely kept their family life out of the spotlight. Keri also has two older children, River and Willa, with her ex-husband, Shane Deary.
