Sofia Vergara just infused her sartorial agenda with sultry leather, and the result is a striking look that sculpts her in all the right places. The 53-year-old took to Instagram on March 6 to share a mirror selfie that showed off her stylish ensemble.
The actress rocked a plunging black leather corset that featured a waist-cinching silhouette with a deep cut on the bust. The number was paired with a matching leather mini skirt for the ultimate night-out look.
Sofia kept things simple by layering two silver necklaces and a dainty bracelet on her wrist. Her luscious brunette locks were left down in a sleek, straight style while her makeup oozed soft glam, courtesy of a smoky eye and a red-tinted lip.
In the caption, she penned: "Adventure nights in Paris."
The strapless leather corset was reminiscent of Pamela Anderson's daring latex number in David Hogan's 1996 film Barb Wire. In the movie, the actress donned a strapless leather catsuit with matching gloves and boots.
Sofia Vergara's love for corsets
The star is no stranger to a waist-cinching number, with a closet of embellished or lace-adorned corsets. For her appearance at the Costes party during Paris Fashion Week, Sofia donned a purple lace corset that featured a plunging neckline with sheer, exposed boning on the bodice. The sultry number was styled with a leather maxi skirt in a darker purple hue. The look was completed with open toe pumps and a dainty heart-shaped necklace.
The lace corset follows the broader outerwear-as-underwear trend that has been appearing on runways in recent seasons. The popular look continues to blur the line between lingerie and eveningwear. At Simone Rocha, fuzzy fur bras were styled with leather jackets and billowing skirts, while Chanel paired exposed bras with tailored skirt suits. Over at Givenchy, creative director Sarah Burton matched barely-there bras with sheer mesh dresses.
Sofia Vergara's workout routine
The Colombian actress previously revealed to us that she has to work to achieve her flawless physique."I've done everything to stay in shape," she told HELLO! Fashion. "Pilates, spinning and now I'm training with Gunnar Peterson. To me, working out is a punishment but I'm conscious that it is important to my health and appearance so I try to do it as much as I can."
As for her morning routine, the actress wakes up at 5AM. "I wake up and shower," she previously told Glamour. "After the shower I grab a quick breakfast. I usually prepare it the night before. One of my favorites is a kind of homemade muesli made of Greek yogurt, oats, chia seeds, nuts, and blueberries."
She continued: "After a quick lunch, I'll start a workout. My go-to workout is a Pilates workout on the Lagree Fitness Megaformer machine. I also mix in spinning classes for cardio a couple of times per week."
