Chris Stapleton is an 11-time Grammy winner, has sold over 10 million albums in the U.S., and has performed at the Super Bowl. But, it's his wife and children that have really shaped his life.
Chris, 47, married his wife, singer-songwriter Morgane Stapleton, 43, in 2007. The couple now lives in Nashville with their five children. Here's everything we know about the country singer's wife and their four sons and daughter.

In 2003, when Chris and Morgane met while working as songwriters in Nashville. Morgane recalled their meeting in a 2015 interview with The Washington Post, saying: "We'd hear the jingle of [Chris'] keys as he walked down the hall, and we knew he was coming to play us whatever new song he had written."
One day, Chris asked Morgane if she'd write a song with him. She suggested 6 pm on a Friday, and the rest was history.
"We didn't get much writing done that night," she joked.

At their first meeting, Morgane was signed to Arista Nashville. Since then, she's recorded three albums, but has never released them. In May 2017, Morgane told The New York Times: "I broke out in hives one time — I don't remember why. I have an aversion to the spotlight. It's not for everybody."
Instead of standing in the spotlight like her husband, Morgan works behind the scenes, writing songs for Carrie Underwood, John Prine, LeAnn Rimes, Reba McEntire, and of course, her husband.
Throughout his career, Morgane has performed in Chris' band. They've sung together a number of times throughout the years, including on TODAY in September 2024.

Four years after their first date, the couple said "I do." They tied the knot on October 27, 2007, and celebrate their anniversary often.
Before they got married, Morgane secretly engraved the words "You Are My Sunshine" inside his wedding ring. Chris reflected on that little gift to Rolling Stone in 2015, saying: "That's our story."

In 2009, two years after Chris and Morgane married, they started their family. The couple welcomed their oldest son, Waylon. Soon after, Morgane gave birth to their daughter, Ada. In 2018, the happy parents grew their family with twin sons, Macon and Samuel. And in 2019, they welcomed another son, whose name they have decided to keep private.
"I signed up for this, my children did not," Chris told The Boot in June 2018. "I am a very private person, and in that respect, I keep my children out of it. They're children, and they deserve the chance to be children."

It's no surprise that Chris and Morgane live in the Country Music Capital of the World. In 2017, the couple moved to Leipers Fork, Tennessee, a suburb of Nashville. They bought a 311 acre property for some $5 million that year.
Morgane and Chris have definitely laid down roots in Leipers Fork, with Morgane opening a jewelry store called Tennessee Turquoise Co., where she sells her personal favorites and supports the National Indigenous Women's Resource Center.
