Justin Sylvester quickly learned that sometimes, in a pinch, name dropping is the correct way out of a sticky situation.
On the Monday, March 16 installment of TODAY with Jenna & Sheinelle, the frequent NBC guest host subbed in for main host Jenna Bush Hager, who is one a "well-deserved" spring break, per her co-star Sheinelle Jones.
Justin's journey to NBC Studios was however not easy, given he was in Los Angeles mere hours before landing in New York City, covering the Oscars for E! News, and once he finally did land, he was stopped by the police while en route.
The pop-culture guru detailed the mishap that led to his tardiness, leaving Sheinelle in stitches as he shared a video of him brushing his teeth in the car, revealing he name dropped TODAY to keep his journey going, and even joked that he said he was Craig Melvin instead when his car got pulled over.
Fans also had a hoot over the moment, which was shared to TODAY with Jenna & Sheinelle's social media, with one writing in the comments section under the post: "That is why we love him!!!!!" as others followed suit with: "We missed you so much!! Pleeeeeeease give him a permanent spot!" and: "Justin! We miss you! We needed this today!" as well as: "Justin is a prize whoever he hosts with. Today should lock him down!"
