It's been a decade coming but Ryan Gosling has "finally" fixed an issue which was just brought to fan's attention.

The Barbie actor's longtime partner, Eva Mendes, took to Instagram with a post highlighting Ryan's dislike of his appearance in the poster for LA LA Land.

Alongside the image of Ryan dancing with his co-star, Emma Stone, in the Hollywood Hills, she wrote: "One of Ryan’s great regrets is his La La Hand on this poster."

In the image, Ryan's hand is a broken line, meaning the silhouette stops abruptly at the wrist rather than flowing through the fingertips.

Eva then added a video of Ryan recreating the photo and wrote: "Swipe to see his hail mary attempt to finally make things right."

Rare appearance together

Fans loved the post with many adding crying with laughter emojis. One also commented on the fact Ryan doesn't have social media, so Eva posts on hers for him.

The couple keep their personal life with their two young daughters out of the spotlight, but recently they made a very rare appearance together on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

In honor of Eva's 52nd birthday, Ryan gave her a shout out and she then joined him on stage, much to the delight of the audience.

Ryan even sang her "Happy Birthday," and Eva gave him a kiss as a way to thank him.

While their kids aren't thrust into the limelight, both Ryan and Eva have opened up about them in various interviews.

Recently, Ryan spoke about his new movie, Project Hail Mary and how his daughters, Esmerelda and Amada helped him run his lines.

"As a family, I'd like a movie like this that I'd like to see. I just feel really honored that I got to make one," he told People about the movie adaptation of the Andy Weir novel of the same name.

"My kids have seen multiple cuts. They give me multiple notes. They're basically the only critics I care about, and they are very critical and very honest."

Ryan plays astronaut Ryland Grace, who is left stranded on a space shuttle with no memory of how he got there, and a crew that is presumably dead.

Instead, his only companion is an alien he discovers on board, who he names "Rocky" (voiced by lead puppeteer James Ortiz).

Ryan added: "Sometimes when I was working and I needed to sort of switch things up or whatever, my kids would come in and I had an earpiece in my ear and they would talk for Rocky, so I could talk to them as Rocky."
