Fergie's mother looks like her twin as duo celebrates milestone birthday

Fergie has left fans doing a double take after sharing a striking photo with her mother, Terri, as the pair celebrated a milestone 75th birthday in serious style.

The singer, whose real name is Stacy Ferguson, took to Instagram to post a glamorous snap of the duo posing side by side in coordinated black ensembles, instantly prompting fans to point out just how alike they look.

In the heartfelt caption, Fergie paid tribute to her mum with a deeply personal message that offered a glimpse into their close bond.

"Hi mommy. 75 years and the legend is still rocking.

When I look into your eyes, I see all the years and memories we’ve shared together. I know all the sacrifices that you’ve made in your life to make mine and Dana’s better, and I want you to know I see you truly and appreciate you from the bottom of my heart," the singer wrote. 

"You are a forever beauty queen that has lit up every room with your smile and exuberant personality ever since I can remember.

I hope with your 75 years under your belt, you feel as loved as you are by so many, including your beautiful grandchildren. You only get one momma, and I’m so lucky that you are mine.

In the photo, Fergie stunned in a chic off-the-shoulder mini dress complete with gold button detailing, sheer tights and pointed heels, finishing the look with a classic black beret.

Standing beside her, Terri proved that style clearly runs in the family, wearing a floor-length black gown layered with elegant strands of pearls and a feathered fascinator.

With their matching blonde waves, glowing complexions and confident poses, the resemblance between mother and daughter was undeniable, with many fans commenting that the pair looked "like twins".

The post comes after Fergie reunited with her former bandmates, The Black Eyed Peas, eight years after leaving the group to focus on her solo career and raising her son, Axl. 

The 50-year-old took to Instagram to share the good news last December, alongside several photos of their night out together.

"Finally got to break bread and celebrate our milestone birthdays together. What a special night with my brothers, filled with so much love," she wrote in the caption. In the snaps, Fergie posed with her friends Will.i.am, Apl.de.Ap and Taboo, all of whom are still active in the group.
