Jennifer Garner has traded her soft, natural waves for a sleek, straightened style, and she’s opened up about the hair breakage amid the change. The new look is a result of her collaboration with haircare company Virtue Labs.
The actress took to Instagram to share a post of herself posing in the glam chair while hailing the brand's leave-in conditioner as her "new favorite product." As she spoke directly to the camera, Jennifer wore a simple gray knit cardigan that kept the focus on her sleek, centre-parted hairstyle, complemented by a bronze-toned makeup look, smoky eyes, and a nude-stained lip.
For her next look, the star opted for a sleeveless leather mini dress that featured a plunging neckline and figure-hugging silhouette. Jennifer's front strands of hair were tucked neatly behind her ears.
In the caption, she penned: "I've learned a lot about hair the hard way…If I could start over, I'd focus on keeping it strong and protected instead of trying to fix damage after the fact. That's why I've been reaching for this new leave-in conditioner from @virtueLabs – in addition to being a great detangler, it strengthens and protects in one step, and makes my routine feel a whole lot more simple. Sharing this one for anyone who needs the reminder I did."
In the video, Jennifer shared details of her own experience with hair breakage. "I've got some things I wished I'd known in my thirties. Most frizz is due to dryness. I wish I'd known that hair thinning is often breakage," she said. "Virtue Strength and Shield Leave-In Conditioner. It's not just a leave-in conditioner, it detangles, it strengthens, and it protects. There's no pulling, no snapping, a comb just glides through, so your hair grows longer and healthier as soon as you start to use it. It makes sense but preventing damage is much easier than repairing damage."
13 Going on 30
Jennifer will serve as an executive producer on Netflix's reboot of the rom-com classic 13 Going on 30. The film will be directed by Brett Haley and is set to star Emily Bader and Logan Lerman.
"13 Going on 30 is one of those rare, perfect films. Funny, emotional, deeply human, with unforgettable performances from Jennifer Garner, Mark Ruffalo and Judy Greer," said Brett. "I’m a longtime fan, so stepping into this reimagining comes with tremendous responsibility. Jennifer Garner being on board as an executive producer, after playing such a big part of what made the original special, is especially meaningful."
