Orlando Bloom's stunning Malibu retreat has been put up for sale for $12 million, with the eclectic and colorful abode likely to be snapped up quickly thanks to its lavish interiors and features.
The Lord of the Rings star bought the four-bed, five-bath property back in 2011 for $2.5 million, and has steadily worked on creating his dream home, complete with features like a gym, sauna, pool and spa.
The house is located in a gated community in Malibu, and was built in 1974 on 4,200 square feet. Orlando, who originally bought the house with his first wife, Miranda Kerr, said he spent more than twice what he paid for the house on renovations to give it a "Japanese feel", as he told WSJ.
The actor originally bought the property due to the privacy it offered as well as the beach access, yet realized it was "the right time to let it go" after not living there for several years.
His 14-year-old son, Flynn, spent much of his early life in Malibu, with his mother, Miranda, buying a property nearby after her split from Orlando.
The living areas include a family and media room with a built-in sound system and sliding glass doors opening onto the backyard, and a larger living room with a fireplace and ocean views.
Other features inside the home include a gym, a powder room, a sleeping loft, a top-of-the-range security system and a two-car garage. "Right out the door, you've got the most amazing drives through the Malibu canyons," Orlando told WSJ.
The furnishings were designed by Roy McMakin, whom the father of two discovered after seeing his work in a book.
"I was walking around showing his book to people, and I thought, 'Maybe I'll just go straight to the horse's mouth,'" he shared with the publication. "I found his contact online. He was familiar with me, and we had a meeting."
Orlando's decision to sell the $12 million abode comes less than a year after he split from his fiancée, Katy Perry. The pair dated for nine years and welcomed a daughter, Daisy, in 2020, before announcing their breakup in July 2025 via a representative.
"Due to the abundance of recent interest and conversation surrounding Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry's relationship, representatives have confirmed that Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on co-parenting," the statement read.
"They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is – and always will be – raising their daughter with love, stability, and mutual respect."
