Congratulations are in order for Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen!
The couple are officially first-time parents, having welcomed their new bundle of joy in recent days.
The Sinners actress and the Buffalo Bills quarterback were first romantically linked in May 2023, and tied the knot exactly two years later with an intimate ceremony in Santa Barbara, California.
Hailee took to her newsletter, Beau Society, to share the exciting news, revealing that they welcomed a baby girl.
All other details, including her date of birth and name, were kept private. "Our baby girl has arrived!! We're feeling incredibly grateful and blessed and savouring these early moments. Thank you so much for the love and well wishes," the newsletter read.
Though they remained mum on details about their little girl's arrival, Hailee had previously shared glimpses into her pregnancy journey on previous newsletters.
In late February, she shared of her pregnancy cravings: "My no.1 pregnancy craving... It's shrimp. Like I said, not thrilled by it. But alas, a Caesar salad with grilled shrimp has been a huge hit for me lately."
"The other night, we met some friends for an early dinner, and the place we went to does a great Caesar with Parmesan crisps and croutons. Normally, I add chicken, but of course, given my craving, it had to be shrimp," she added.
She also reflected on becoming a family of three. "This week, I was sitting on the couch in my family room, and the reality that our little family is about to grow really started to settle in. Of course, I have all the to-do lists (which you know I love), and I've been busy with research and the general life reorganization that happens when you're about to have a baby."
"But the most profound and grounding part of getting ready for this baby has been the introspective side of it: the quiet conversations I'm having with myself almost every day," she continued. "Sometimes I find myself asking big, lofty questions (what am I going to be like as a mom?) or having vivid daydreams of what our life is about to look like when the three of us are cuddled up in the nursery together."
"While tuning in, I've experienced this surreal, full-body awareness that our world is about to expand in beautiful ways. We're getting ready to meet someone we already love so much. I've racked my brain for words to describe that feeling, and I don't have them yet. Maybe that's the point. For now, I'm blessed to be settling into the feeling," she added.
Hailee's absence from the Oscars last month had indicated that the couple's baby might be arriving soon. Meanwhile Josh is a few months away still from getting back on the field, with training camp for the Bills starting in July before football season kicks off in early September.
