Tori Spelling has broken her silence days after she was involved in a car crash with seven children, four of whom were her own.
The Beverly Hills, 90210 alum admitted that the accident "could have been so much worse" as she reflected on the scary ordeal that occurred on Thursday, April 7.
Tori, four of her five children, and three of their friends were hospitalized following the accident in Temecula, California. It has not been revealed which of her kids, Liam, 19, Stella, 17, Hattie, 14, Finn, 13, and Beau, nine, whom she shares with ex-husband, Dean McDermott, were involved.
"Hi. I just wanted to reach out to everyone, and it just took me a bit to post this because, as most of you know, four of my kids and I, and three of their friends, were in a car accident a few days before Easter in Temecula," she shared in an April 7 Instagram video.
"And we're okay, but it's been really overwhelming. We are so grateful and so lucky because it could've been so much worse," she added.
Tori alleged that the driver of the other car was speeding, noting that they were "going crazy, crazy fast" and claimed they "went through a light."
"I'm just really grateful that in a split second, guardian angels were definitely with us that day," the 52-year-old added.
"I looked to my right, and I saw he was coming full on, full impact into the side of our car, and I turned hard left as hard as I could, as fast as I could, to avoid as much impact on the children as possible. He spun us out."
Tori went on to thank "all of the first responders on the scene" who helped her, her children, and their friends, including the staff at the Southwest Healthcare Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar, California, where they were all treated.
She concluded: "I'm grateful to everyone who has reached out and repeatedly checked on us and offered to do whatever we needed to get us through this, and all the blessings everyone has sent.
"So thank you, everybody, and still putting my thoughts together about everything that happened, and just so much gratitude for life and the bravery of all of the kids in the car with what they went through."
The Riverside County Sheriff's Office previously confirmed to People that deputies were dispatched to a crash in Temecula on April 2 shortly before 6 pm and arrived to find two damaged vehicles.
Images circulating online, though unverified, appear to show one car with severe front-end damage, while an SUV – believed to be Tori's – had parts of its bumper, lights, and undercarriage missing.
Emergency responders assessed those involved at the scene, and no arrests were made at the time. Tori, her children, and their friends were later transported to the hospital in three ambulances.
They were treated for a range of injuries, including cuts, contusions, and possible concussions, per TMZ.
