Goldie Hawn is an iconic actress who has enjoyed a decade-spanning career in Hollywood.

But before it all began, the actress was a regular high school student. The award-winning actress attended Montgomery Blair High School in Maryland in the 1960s, where she was an active member of the theatre and drama societies. In 2020, MyHeritage colorized the yearbook pictures from Goldie's high school - which Best Quality Designer Handbag was given access too.

What's more, Goldie - who has sported the same mid-length blonde hair for decades - rocked a pixie cut - one of the most popular hairstyles of that era.

The mom-of-three left school in 1964 and went on to study drama at American University in Washington, before dropping out to run and teach at a ballet school.

Goldie's early career saw her work as a professional dancer in New York City and California, before landing her first major role in Rowan & Martins Laugh-In in 1968.

Throughout her career, she's received numerous accolades, including an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in Cactus Flower in 1969, where she played Toni Simmons.

Other notable films that Goldie, 80, has starred in include There's a Girl in My Soup, Butterflies Are Free, The Sugarland Express, The First Wives Club, and The Christmas Chronicles.

In 2017, she received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The actress has also achieved incredible philanthropic success with her charity, MindUp, which provides educators with tools to help students foster better mental health.

Away from work, Goldie loves nothing more than spending time with her family. The actress is a doting mom to Oliver and Kate Hudson, who she shares with ex-husband Bill Hudson. She is also mom to Wyatt Russell, who she shares with long-time partner Kurt Russell. She has eight grandchildren through her three children.

Goldie and Kurt have been together since Valentine's Day 1983, and celebrated 43 years together in February. The celebrity couple are often asked about marriage, and Goldie previously revealed their reasons for not marrying.

During an interview on The Dan Buettner Podcast, the Oscar-winning actress shared the key to the couple's successful relationship. "I have a relationship with birds," she said. "I'm a bird. And you leave the cage door open, I may never fly out. But if you close that door, for my freedom and my independence, I would probably take all my feathers off."

"It's a freedom of basically not melding into somebody else, when you're copacetic on certain areas and you have freedom," Goldie added of her relationship with Kurt. The 80-year-old went on to address whether the pair would ever get married. "Even if we did get married, it wouldn't make any difference because it's 42 years now," she shared.

In response to why she continues to choose Kurt, Goldie said: "Because I have respect for him because I think he's an amazing person."

Goldie and Kurt split their time between their homes in California, Colorado and New York City. Their happy place is the ranch they built themselves in Colorado. It's where their entire family spend the holidays and celebrate New Year's Eve each year, complete with a huge party.
