The Ripa-Consuelos clan has a lot of famous friends in their corner, one of whom happens to work in the same building as them – David Muir.
The fellow ABC anchor, the host of World News Tonight, has been close friends with Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos for many years, dating back to his early days with the primetime news hour.
As a result, he's also watched their three children, Michael, Lola and Joaquin, grow up before his very eyes, and couldn't be prouder watching the youngest of the three hit a massive career milestone.
On Thursday, April 9, 23-year-old Joaquin officially made his Broadway debut, playing "Young Biff" in the newest revival of Death of a Salesman, which stars Nathan Lane, Laurie Metcalf and Christopher Abbott.
His parents Kelly and Mark were in attendance on opening night to cheer him on, and celebrate with him at the after-party, and while it didn't look like David attended, he certainly made the love known on social media.
Kelly shared some outtakes from the night on her Instagram page, captioning them: "Scenes from opening night of the brilliant @salesmanonbroadway directed by the incomparable Joe Mantello."
"Congratulations to the entire cast and crew on this astonishing revival, and to @joaquinconsuelos on your broadway debut! Thank you @bruglikas for capturing the moments." David was one of the first people to comment, leaving a simple heart emoji, and later reposted it as well.
Similarly, the University of Michigan's theatre department's social media page also shared the news of his Broadway debut, with David liking that post as well.
David wasn't the only friend to show Joaquin some love, with Lisa Rinna also commenting on Kelly's post: "WOWOWOW CONGRATS PROUD MOMMA AND DAD!!!" Jennifer Garner adding: "So major!" and others like Jennifer Lopez, Andy Cohen, Uzo Aduba, and more also showering him with praise.
"Surreal moment…so proud," Mark gushed, to which Kelly responded: "You're next babe." Mark himself will also be appearing on the Broadway stage at the same time as his son, appearing in the revival of the play Fallen Angels, which is set to open on April 19.
David has developed very close bonds with Kelly and Mark's kids, so much so that they often spend vacation time, holidays, and summer weekends together, with the friends once talking about it during the former's appearance on LIVE (when it was LIVE with Kelly and Ryan).
"I kind of miss our weekends together," Kelly shared with David, explaining that they'd often spend days lounging by the pool, and her kids would especially get excited with David coming over during barbecues.
"You are a great grill master, your cheeseburgers are delicious," she gushed. "Joaquin would rather eat at David's than anywhere else on earth." David primarily resides in upstate New York, maintaining a residence in the Lake Skaneateles area by the water, shared with his German shorthaired pointer Axel.
