Serena Williams' husband and tech founder Alexis Ohanian shared an adorable throwback picture on social media from his school days in Maryland.

Alexis posted a picture of his Howard High School ID card, in which he showcased curtain bangs, which gave pure '90s nostalgia.

He shared the sweet shot with a comical story in his caption, writing: "Infinite aura. This kid would return for a keynote at Howard High two decades later and get banned for life. For cursing a few times in the talk."

Fans loved the post and flocked to the comments. One person wrote: "My fellow HHS alum! Thank you for coming back and giving a speech all those years ago. I still think about it till this day."

A second follower added: "Lion Class of 2016 - Was there for this speech absolute LEGEND for keeping it real. Admins might [have] not thought so but all of us students did thank you."

Another fan continued: "As a Howard High student who attended this speech back then, thank you! The teachers were so mad but we loved it. Helped me see what was possible outside of that bubble. I'm a product manager in NYC now."

Alexis' career

Alexis has always been passionate about technology. In middle school he attended community college classes on computer programming.

During that time, he learned how to create websites from scratch and to code, as well as how to take apart computers and build them up again.

During high school, he took the only computer science class that was available. He entered the University of Virginia as a computer science major, however, he ended up switching to double majoring in business commerce and history. Alexis also minored in German.

Post-graduation, he decided to start his own business. He pitched his first idea called MyMobileMenu to a company called Y Combinator.

They weren't sold on the pitch, so they advised Alexis and his college roommate Steve Huffman to create a new idea. That was when the popular website Reddit was born — and the rest is history.

Alexis' other endeavors

Alexis has launched and invested in other companies. He created the brand Breadpig which develops merchandise, as well as Hipmunk, which is a travel website. The mogul also started Das Kapital Capital which does consulting and investing.

Last year he co-purchased the company Digg which is a news aggregator, and he also bought a 10 percent stake in another soccer team called Chelsea Women FC. He also appeared as a guest judge on the hit show Shark Tank.

Alexis has been married to Serena since 2017 and the pair welcomed their children Olympia and Adira into the world together.
