Jessica Chastain is the latest star to jump on the "sharp little bob" trend, debuting her new look at the 12th Breakthrough Prize Ceremony.
The actress, 49, attended the star-studded event on Saturday April 18, held in Santa Monica, California, in a gorgeous beige strapless textured gown from Oscar de la Renta, with floral appliqués and a trim at the skirt's hem.

The sleek new 'do was styled with one side partially covering the side of her face, and the other tucked behind her ear. A delicate diamond accent chain completed the look.

Fans instantly began fawning over the look, with one commenting on social media: "Stunning!!!!!" another saying: "Divine as always," and a third going: "ICONIC HAIR! Once it grows a tad, we'll have Elizabeth Sloane," referring to the 2016 movie Miss Sloane in which the actress rocked hair of a similar length.

The crime thriller starred the actress as Jodi Goodwin, aka "The Savant," a woman who infiltrates online hate groups in an effort to stop mass shootings and public attacks before it happens. While originally slated for a September 2025 release, the rollout was paused, largely believed to be due to the shooting of Charlie Kirk a few weeks prior.

"Before it was like, 'I don't know if we're going to see it,' but now I can say, 'We're going to see it'," she shared.
At the time, Apple released a statement about the decision to postpone the show, which read: "After careful consideration, we have made the decision to postpone 'The Savant.' We appreciate your understanding and look forward to releasing the series at a future date."

"I've never shied away from difficult subjects, and while I wish this show wasn't so relevant, unfortunately it is," the Oscar nominee continued. "The Savant is about the heroes who work every day to stop violence before it happens, and honoring their courage feels more urgent than ever. While I respect Apple's decision to pause the release for now, I remain hopeful the show will reach audiences soon." A new release date has not yet been announced.
