Taylor Swift's involvement in the Blade Angels
We can't mention the Blade Angels without bringing up Taylor Swift, who introduced the group to the world in a promo video for the Olympics, as "three American showgirls on ice, who will capture your heart with their stories."
In it she noted about Alysa: "As for Alysa, she walked away from skating when she was 16, but then came back on her own terms. Joy fuels her now. Every jump [is] a celebration. Every performance [is] a testament to the beauty of knowing yourself."
The singer continued: "They're teammates and friends. They call themselves the Blade Angels."
Post-Olympics win, Alysa had the pleasure of returning the favor to Taylor by presenting the singer with the Artist of the Year award at the 2026 IHeartRadio Music Awards.
Onstage, she sweetly shared: "[Taylor] lent her voice and music by narrating a video introducing me and the other Blade Angels. I gotta say, I think that's why we won."
Alysa revealed what it was like meeting Taylor and her fiancé Travis Kelce and said: "They were very nice, like over the moon nice and she's so gracious."
