The duo met during an audition for an NBC pilot show back in 2007, and the rest is history.

Abigail attended the red carpet for her new film Clean Hands at the Tribeca Festival on June 7 in New York City, and the star spoke exclusively with HELLO! about what unexpected characteristics of Meghan's she absolutely adores.

The actress gushed: "I don't think anything is unexpected because she's just so glaringly glorious."

Abigail added: "I think she wears it on her sleeve and she's honestly been one of the best friends in this life I could have asked for, so she is as wonderful and amazing and delightful as she seems."

Abigail's latest film

The entertainer portrays the character of Dana, alongside her on-screen husband Kevin Simmers, played by Zach Braff.

The duo teamed up for the film, which is based on a true story surrounding a cop and his personal struggles of tending to his daughter who is a drug addict, while enforcing the law at his job.

Aside from praising Meghan, Abigail also gushed about how much she "loves working" alongside Zach on the silver screen.

Abigail's take on the new film

HELLO! asked the star what she learned about herself through the process of creating the movie that may have surprised her.

She revealed: "You know what, I don't know if it's a surprise, but [recognizing just] how much I love making movies. I mean, Zach and I – we were on set, and because it's a small movie, the budget is very tiny. It's a miracle that we're here."

The star shared that one of the things she loved most was using the film's platform to create tangible goodness in the world.

Proceeds from the film went towards Brookes House Addiction Treatment Hagerstown, which provides a place to stay for people recovering from drug addiction.

Abigail expressed: "Really the engine behind the movie is to get the word out about Brookes House, and about this true story and to help other people heal, and a portion of the proceeds is going to Brookes House. So I think that's incredible if you can make art that can make more things, and help some healing – I think is really wonderful."

The actress added: "But I think I just missed making movies. It was, I mean really – it was such a lovely experience. We shot in Atlanta. The whole team is here tonight. They made it so wonderful and we just kept looking at each other like, 'should we do more movies?'"

About Abigail's son

Abigail's son Roman Pruett, born in 2008, whom she welcomed into the world with her former husband Andrew Pruett, also caught the acting bug, like mother, like son.

She revealed: "I mean look, he's a much better actor than I was at his age. I'll just tell you that right now. So if he wants to do it, great. If not, great, but he also has definitely seen the ups and downs of the industry and, [how] we're always on the go, on the move, but look, I love it. So if that's what he wants to do, [great]."
