Dick Van Dyke looked better than ever as he attended a charity event with his wife, Arlene Silver, and crossed paths with legendary musician and record company founder, Herb Alpert, 91.

The Mary Poppins icon was seated in the front row at the outdoor event, dressed in a black printed shirt and khaki pants, complete with a black cap, black shoes and his cane. He idly danced along to the music in the clip, proving his love of performing has never faded.

By his side was Arlene, 54, who wore a colorful printed tee under a khaki jacket, paired with dark wash jeans and black shoes. To her left sat Herb, clad in an all-black casual outfit, who reached over to introduce himself to Dick before the festivities began.

Dick, who celebrated his 100th birthday in December, was captured on video by his personal photographer, Laura Johansen, who shared the clip to Instagram

"When you're just minding your own business, jamming away to the music and suddenly find Herb Alpert introducing himself…" the caption began. "Gotta keep moving! Congratulations to all for yesterday's event, the groundbreaking of the new Malibu Urgent Care!"

The actor is often accompanied to public events by Arlene, whom he met backstage at the SAG Awards in 2006. "Neither one of us can think where the time went," Dick said during an Instagram Live posted around their 14th wedding anniversary in February.

Dick and Arlene have been married for 14 years

"We've had so much fun, been so many places. And I've fallen in love with her more every day. I do, I'm telling you. She gets better every day. I wouldn't even be here; I wouldn't be 100 years old if it weren't for her, and that's no kidding. She's pulled me through a lot of things."

"But I feel pretty good for 100. And she just keeps getting more and more gorgeous, doesn't she?" he added. Dick has been honest about the drawbacks of aging and shared a poignant essay in the Sunday Times in November ahead of his milestone birthday.

"It's frustrating to feel diminished in the world, physically and socially," he said. "Like my old characters, I am now a stooper, a shuffler and a teeterer. I have feet problems, and I go supine as often as is politely possible." Dick added that he tries to exercise several times a week to keep his body in top shape.

He credits his wife with keeping him young

"I still try to hit the gym three times a week. I don't know why this is something I still want to do, but it is. I'm not a 'wake up and go back to bed' type just yet, unless it's cold and rainy," he wrote.

"If I miss too many gym days, I really can feel it – a stiffness creeping in here and there. If I let that set in, well, God help me."

"The secret ingredient is the music," the icon revealed. "Most of my humming and singing really happens when I'm going from one machine to another. By 'going', I mean dancing."
